Ironically pink was originally seen as a masculine color while the feminine counterpart was originally blue.

Yeah, I remember reading this somewhere, pink and red were masculine colors, cause they reminded blood and brutality, while blue was a feminine color, cause it reminds calm, at least that's what I remember reading.
