I don't know what would replace it, maybe Quick Attack, I doubt Electroweb would be replaced this early, but I think the only way Ash could reasonably beat this, with Pikachu is if it magically somehow uses Splishy Splashy.

It's not going to happen, and Ash will likely ridiculously win with Pikachu because Ash believes in the heart of the cards.....I mean plot reasons.

OR maybe Pikachu HORRIBLY loses and Ash uses someone better......maybe........nope probably a ridiculous Pikachu win (I have no faith in this series, I'm just here to watch animated scenes of things at this point).

Pikach is really OP in this series. Hell how can he win a battle where he is totally in a disavantage?

You have got to be freaking kidding me. Unless Ash's Pikachu is learning Splishy Splash here, this is so stupid. Jesus you'd think after the Iris battle, the writers would stop this bs Pikachu battling ground types crap.

And to win?? Wtf unless Pikachu is learning Return and Ash wins through the power of friendship, I'm so done. Literally Ash's only strategy here would be to Iron tail Mudsdale's legs and then hit it with the z move while it can't move.

Yeah and it specifically HAS to be the normal Z move because Electrium-Z (or Ash's Pikachu's Z-move) is completely useless here.

Knew it, what a surprise! -.-

Poor Torracat, no Grand Trials for you.... least you learned Fire Blast. But they better do something with him soon

The damn preview with Brionne really makes me think Pikachu is going to use Splishy Splash here. That literally would be the only reason I can think of for why Ash is using Pikachu over anyone else (because at this point, Ash should gain sentience (joking) at how stupid he's being portrayed and probably want to wreak havoc at the anime studios, using all of his Pokemon).

Sick of dealing with idiots.
pikachu summoning a huge wave seems way unrealistic but hey, SM writers are quite.. quirky. won't be surprised
Do you mean it possible learning Splishy Splash or the splash from the preview, because it can learn the move and also that could have been Lana or Brionne.

Wow in the next series ash should just use pikachu for his every battle, there is no need for ash to catch any regional pokemon since they wont be used much even in there own regions. And to think torracat learned a new move.

Doesn't have to be a giant tidal wave, it could just be a reasonably sized wave.

Heck look at Ash's Palpitoad's Sludge Wave, that was literally just purple ooze/slime that "splashed" its opponent.

So it could look similar to what Brionne does to Pikachu in the preview, but at least Mudsdale sized (or maybe even smaller).

Pikachu uses a Let’s Go Pee move would be interesting, but heck Iron Tail and Quick Attack can get the job done fine on there own. He’s doesn’t need a new move technically. I know I wanted a starter but Pikachu isn’t a shock. It needed redemption after getting smashed by Hapu before.

If Pikachu uses Splashy Splash, which move is gonna be replaced?

I'd say Iron Tail, because I don't think they'll get rid of Electroweb so quickly and Quick Attack is a pretty big staple. Although, if Ash doesn't get Meltan, then Steel Tail would allow Ash to use the Steel Z-Crystal.

Well if your betting on Pikachu fighting in a 1vs1 against Mudsdale then you would lose that bet, since considering how effectively Mudsdale walls Pikachu it's extremely unlikely that Ash would use Pikachu here. If anything it's actually more likely that Ash will use Rowlet or Torracat here, sure he could use Lycanroc but considering Lycanroc's last Grand Trial battle was a 3vs1 where it got Nanu's 3 pokemon to itself so I think that was probably to make up for it not being used here and, I think that means that Rowlet or Torracat are more likely to be used here.
Always with the essays and ending up being wrong yet again lol

If they thought Pikachu was OP in the KL, they would be surprised now. You would really start to wonder why he caught Terrocat and Rowlet. I would have liked it if he used a reserve or Terrocat at least. Heck Ash didnt even lose a single trial or a grand-trial. The first fight against Nanu doesnt count as a real trial. I thought losing against serval gym leaders in the past was ok, but now it gets idiotic. Ash doesnt really have a difficult time against Kahuna's.
