Feeling so Blue

Yeah. I want a decent team for Pokemon Blue. So a second pair of eyes would be nice to see if I have any major weaknesses.

I can't get surfing Raichu, but I can breed in Crystal if I need to. (Hence why I have all these pokemon before I've even beat Blaine.) But, that's what I'm working towards.
Ack. Everyone has body slam. Is that okay?

Replace lapras's body slam with surf.

I'd go with Seismic Toss or even Submission instead of Mimic. You never know what you might end up with (I know the game lets you pick but it's not worth it for one battle), whereas SToss or Subm will help against Rock and/or Ground types.

-Body Slam
-Reflect
-Roar(?)

Roar only drives away wild pokemon, so it's useless. Consider Substitute.

Lapras
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Body Slam
-Confuse Ray

Blizzard instead of Ice Beam.

Dragonite
-Blizzard
-Thunderbolt
-Body Slam
-Thunder Wave(?)

Personally, I go for Double Edge on Dragonite (instead of Body Slam). Does heavier damage.

Your team has some weaknesses, i don't know if they're considered "Major" though:

Ground - Rhydon, Raichu, Venusaur, and Arcanine are weak to it.
Ice - Venusaur, Rhydon, and dragonite have ic eweaknesses

You shouldn't have 3+ pokemon on your team that share the same weakness. Here you have 4 weak to ground, and 3 weak to ice. I don't know how many pokemon ingame carry earthquake, but I do know that pokemon in the elite 4 spam ice beam/blizzard. So, just be careful.

Anyway, your team is quite good for an ingame one. I'd give it a 7.5/10

Thanks for looking shinymilotic. I really do appreciate it.

I'm not too worried about in-game trainers. This major ground weakness is going to be a pain if I fight my ground-type-happy friends, though.

This is just a team of my favourites to get a start from, so I wasn't too concerned about picking pokemon that work great together. I'll look for a couple good pokes to help cover weaknesses and edit my team when I think of what they should be. 0_o
