FF IX secret ending

Okay, I am not asking how to get it, that I all ready know.

Have Hammer and/or Save the Queen (I have them both, so I am good)

I have beat the game 8 times with the Hammer, and I see nothing which stands out, so last night I beat the game with NO hammer or StQ. It looked exactly the SAME, I watched one right after the other, could somebody PLEASE tell me the difference, or if this works on American versions.

I never beat the game with the Hammer so I wouldn't know. Have you tested the Save the Queen sword to see if it changes the ending? You might want to test the other item, too. I haven't seen the ending without the Save the Queen and I don't intend to. It would be much appreciated if you could test this out as I dont have the necessary items required.

Apparently they do the same thing, but like I said, everytime I ever won it I had them both. I find it weird that you would go beat Hades to get Save the Queen, but you never got the INCREDIBLY easy to find 13 Stelaz coins to get the hammer? Did you just not know, or not care, cause I could help you find the coins

When I first beat Final Fantasy IX (I still have the file and play from it) I skipped the Stellazio Sidequest, but I battled Hades because I enjoy fighting the optional bosses and Hades turned out to be easy (beat him on the first try). Then when I went to Synthesize the Save the Queen I didn't have a Javelin so it took some work but I got a hold of one and then Synthesized a Save the Queen. I also Synthesized a Pumice while I was at it because I wouldn't get another one until I had beat Ozma. But I recently made a new file and started re-playing Final Fantasy IX. This time I'll get both the Hammer and Save the Queen. I have a Strategy Guide and have found one Stellazio so far, but if you have a list of the exact locations it would be appreciated. :)

Well, from what Cloud said, both items make the same changes within the ending. But from what I've read from various online startegy guides, both items cause different changes within the ending. I've never gotten both items together and beaten the game so I wouldn't know. The authority on this would have to be Cloud as it will be some time before I can beat the game again with both the Hammer and Save the Queen

Not that long, I just beat the game complete in 3 days (needed to win before KH 2 came out) since both the Stel and Hades are on the way to the end of the game (you never really have to veer far off is what I am trying to say) it would not be hard to be done soon.
Allright, it can't change the FMV scene, that much is fact. So it must change the character scenes, but I checked it again, AND I STILL CAN'T see a difference. Why can't there be somewhere on line that tells you what changes, instead of how to do it.

I can't beat Final Fantasy IX in three days straight. Science Fair Project, Kingdom Hearts 2, and other stuff.

Cloud Strife said:

I can't find a place online that will tell either. I'll keep up the search, though.

I am thinking once you buy the game, Science Fair, and "other stuff" will just go away. I skipped school the past two days. I come on here every few hours to get a break, but other than that it is constant KH2 for me.

HAPPY HUNTING?
It won't ruin it by spoiling it, I have beat the game like 30 times, I have done EVERYTHING in 12 hours. I am not going to be spoiled, have a heart man, just tell me the difference.

Cinna is anyway, when the Theater ship comes back to Alexandria. I don't see him any other time

Again, Cinna is automatically in the play, talking to Marcus (Zidane) right before he prays to the twin moons. And the Theatre ship scene is right before the play, again, that is always on there. I thought it might be he is holding his hammer, but no, he holds that in the Theatre ship regardless of what you do.

No idea what I feel
I have finished FF9 with both the Hammer & Save The Queen in my items menu before. I can't remember what happens to the ending if you do have the both of them as I haven't played on this game for a while now. I'm currently replaying it at the minute and I've only just defeated Black Waltz No 2, so basically I have the cargo ship to do next.

I most certainally will do every sidequest there is in FF9 as I normally spend a lot of time on an RPG game as I try to do every sidequest there is. Plus I want to see FF9's ending again as I think it is awesome.

I would like to see the alternative ending but,I don't have the javelin to synthesis the save the queen sword. The javelin in Ispin Castle.......well I sorta sold it if anybody could tell me any other way to get the javelin thatt woul be greatly aperciated.

Just get the hammer, as for a new Javelin, nope, you are done if you are on disk 4, I am thinking on disk 3 you can still get it, I just can't remember where.

Javelin
Default equip
Ipsen Castle
Burmecia (I think) Mog shop (though I don't think on disk 4)
Lindblum Dragon shop (not on disk 4)

Full Metal Alchemist

Freya has a Javelin equipt when you first get her. I normally keep the weapons just in case I may need them later on.

You can also buy a Javelin at Ipsents Castle on disk 3 quite cheap as Cloud Strife has already mentioned.
