Title: Rebirth Of Armageddon

Plot:A long time has passed since Meteor and Holy clashed. The names of the heroes who stopped 'The Great Calamity From The Sky' have long been forgotten outside their descendants. Midgar is forgotten by all except one creature. His name is Nanaki, though most call him RedXIII. He is very strange. He's a large red dog, with numerous tatoos on his body, most insignias of XIII, though some lost tribal tattoos who's meaning is known only by him. His fur is flame red, and his eyes a clear orange. His mane is brown, but is turning grey now time has set in. He is what they now call a Cancient, a sub-species of Cetra, the race of beings who created Holy and Meteor. Being a Cancient, he can talk. He is the great chief of the people of Cosmo Canyon, a place where science and nature meet in harmony.

He is old, but his senses that were honed in his travels with the heroes are still sharp. He knows that something is going wrong deep in space. While the thing Meteor created was destroyed, Meteor itself wasn't. Now, it has re-awakened. A dark will from beyond this plane is calling to it, and it is responding. RedXIII possibly knows who is calling it, but fears that if he is right, far worse things will happen. But, to be sure, he must find new heroes. People who have the same abilities as his old friends to save the world. He can tell them as the guardians of the planet, the Summons, have gone to them and now look after them. And he must find a way to re-awaken Holy. Time is running short. If Meteor reacts before Nanaki can succed, the land is doomed.

But, deep under the ruins of the lost city, something else is awakening...


The basic idea is something's awakened Meteor, and Nanaki, who's now over 200 years old, is out to find people who can do what Cloud and the others in FFVII once did. But, as the plot goes, twists will make it easier.

RACES

There are several races here, all generally linked to the actual game. The names I've given are just to make things simpler. I hope.

Human: Self explanatory. You're human, and a very good all rounder, being able to use weapons, magic and summons all quite effectively. But unless you're like Barret and have a gun-graft, you're Limit Breaks are very unspectacular in terms of appearance.

Cancient: You're Nanaki's race. This is the one where you have to have some link to Nanaki. Like humans, in terms of Materia you're good alround-ers. But as you lack apposable thumbs, weapons are very simple, and career choices are limited. Your Limit Breaks are pretty cool though, working on a beastial and spiritual level.

Cetra: In terms of appearance you're very human like, but you lack in the offensive department. Where you excel is magic and Summon Materia, being able to unlock their true power owing to your innate link to their creation. Your Limits are on a spiritual level, and at later levels get very spectacular.

Jenova Descendant: While Vincent's line may have been lost, Jenova's hasn't. Her blood still flows through people today, and in certain individuals it takes a more direct hold. You speacialise in offensive skills and weapon use, but magic and Summon ability isn't very impressive, so you tend to make up with it by using REALLY powerful Summons. Where you truly stand out though is Limits, because Jenova's cells give you the ability to completely transform, from a human like apperance to things from your greatest nightmares or dreams.

If you want a custom race, PM me. But keep it sensible. You will need to mention the kinds of weapons you can use and Limits you can access.

Career

This basically decides what weapon you use, and what Limits are best suited for you, if you're human.

Soldier: Being a soldier, you have access to some very nice pieces of equipment. Anything along the lines of swords and guns are standard. BUT if in your history you had some sort of accident involving your arm, you can opt out for a gun graft, where you get a gun fitted into your very arm. Soldier positions are kept only to humans and Jenova descendants, but occasionaly allows a Cetra in. But rarely.

Professional Fighter: After being trained by senseis from around the world, your prefer to get your hands dirty and fight close range. You can wield knuckle dusters, spears and staffs very well. Also, is you lack apposable thumbs, hair pins offer a simple but effective weapon for making your head butts even worse. This option of career is open to all races.

Materia Hunter/Ninja: Ahh, so you speacilise in the sly and stealthy arts of the ninja do you? You can wield shurikens very well, and swords are also a valid option. Since you obviously do a bit of Materia hunting on the side, you can get your hands on some pretty nice Materia as well. This is best suited for humans and Cetra only, but Jenovas are occasionaly valid.

Mercenary: Very simple, you do anything, for anyone, for the right price. You can come from any walk of life and specialise in whatever you want. Whatever weapon best suits your taste is what you use. All races can be mercenaries, but this is the most 'keep it sensible' career choice. I don't care if you're a Cancient mercenary, you can't use a sword without apposable thumbs!

Pilot: You speacilise in transporting people and stuff places. In case of emergency, you prefer to keep the enemy as far away from your vehicle as possible. So spears and guns are your prefferred choice of weapons. Jenovas, humans and Cetras all qualify for this job.

Limits
Limit Breaks are abilities you can call on in a tight spot. They are in four levels, each with two Limit Breaks at each level. The higher the level, the more powerful the Limit. BUT when you start the RPG, you can only access LV1 Limits, and then you gain more as you go along. I'll decide when you can access a new Limit level. These are the types and races that use them:

Physical:
This applies to all races. Basicaly, you use a very elaborate attack based on your weapon. These are available at all levels, to anyone. These are purely offensive. You can use ones from existing Final Fantasies, or create your own. But if you create your own you need to explain how they work thoroughly. You can have the same Limit as another RPer, but your sets can't be identical.

Spiritual:
Only Cetra and Cancient can access these. Basically you call on the power of the planet to help you. These can be used at all levels, but generally remain unphysical until the later levels. These can be used to heal or strengthen you and your allies, weaken your foe or just lay a beating on the foe. This sort of move is like those of RedXIII and Aeris.

Assisstal:
This can be accessed by anyone, but relates to your career. If you're a pilot you can call on an offensive vehicle or creature to attack the foe. If you're a soldier you can activate a piece of high level offensive weaponry, such as a sattelite or bomb, and use it on the opponent. These can only be acceses at LV3 +.

Morph:
Only Jenovas can access these. Basically, you transform into some sort of creature with access to hellish powers. If you choose these purely, you're only allowed four limits instead of eight, as these Limits are both powerful and spectacular. BUT you can have these as your second choice, and have a Physical alternative at each level, such as, for an example:

Morph: Galian Beast

LV2:
Physical: Blade Beam
Morph: Death Gigas

LV3:
Physical: Meteorain
Morph: Hellmasker

LV4:
Physical: Omnislash
Morph: Chaos

But, be aware that Morphing comes at a price. You lose control, and your attacks are randomized. Your Morphed form has access to two types of attack, a physical special, and a magical special. The odds of using the physical are 3/4 and the odds of using the Magical are 1/4. And if you do Morph, you can only mention initiating an attack, I'll decide what move you use by the unbiased method of rolling two dice I keep next to my computer. Power comes at a price. If you do pick Morph as a Limit choice, you must use this sign up as well:

Morph LV1:
Name: (obvious)
Description: (five sentences minimum)
Physical Skill Name: (obvious, a good example would be Berserk Dance)
What It Does: (I'll be nice here, one sentence minimum, but I'd prefer a thorough description)
Magical Skill Name: (again, obvious, a favourite example of mine would be Beast Flare)
What It Does: (this must be much more thorough. Is it elemental? How big is it's blast radius? Does it cause status effects? What on earth does it look like? Do you turn around and blow up in their face?)
Endurance: (this decides how long you can stay in that form before losing conciousness. The three levels are low, mid and high. What it is decides it's endurance is. A gigantic demon bird would have high, while a psycho in a hockey mask with a chainsaw would be low)

Once you morph, the only ways to change back are via either defeating the opponent or losing conciousness. For the latter, I post a warning saying if you are near to losing conciousness.

Guardian Summon(s)
My favourite bit. Rather than simply just finding a Summon Materia, a certain set of Summons serve as your protector, as they know your going to save the world. As the Summons get more powerful, the number in a group gets lower. Once all these go that is when the RPG will begin.

Materia
Materia are crystalised magic. By attaching them to your weapons and armour, you can access skills and magic. Also, once earned, your Guardians will become materia allowing you to call them to assisst you. As you grow stronger, so do your materia, allowing you to access new skills. I decide when your materia level up, so don't go overboard. You get the choice of the following materia to start with:

The move labelled 'start' is what you can access straight away, then as you move up in levels, under my juristiction, you gain the skills and spells appropriatly. Once a Materia is mastered, you can show Nanaki and he will give your weapon a very special upgrade. Such as if you show him a mastered Fire Materia, he'll make your weapon Fire oriented. If you somehow get Ultima and master it, something really good will happen. Here, you can PM me a completely custom design for a weapon, and this will count as your ultimate weapon. It MUST have it's strength tied to a factor, such as your rage, love, whether your allies are OK or not whatever. If you want to be evil, tie it to your strength. But you can only use a Master materia upgrade once, if you get rid of a weapon that has a master upgrade, it's gone permanently.

The reason Nanaki can do this is he is ancient, so he knows a few more things about materia than he used to.

Name: Kali (Last name is unknown. Also know as experiment, Duister)

Age: Looks to be around 21, but her age is unknown.

Description: Kali has long silver hair, with hints of darker grey imbedded in it. Her eyes take on an emerald colour that appear slit like, almost along the lines of what a snakes or a dragons would look like. Her skin is pale, paler than the usual human beings, though there is no mistaking her slightly toned physique and obvious fitness, some would call it abnormal. She wears black leather pants, which are tucked into heavy black boots with metallic clasps. Accompanying the pants is a black crop top, showing her stomach and the abnormal, tribal tattoos that grace her snow white skin. A black leather trench coat is thrown over her physique, hiding most of what lies beneath, this included the rack of bracelets lining bother her arms, and even the silver chains that hang low around her neck.

Personality: Cold and distant from others, though there is no mistaking her sarcastic and witty nature. She despises all that opposes her and disposes of them without much thought or next to no sympathy for them. Some would think that she shows no emotion what so ever, but this isn’t exactly true…she has a weakness for small, frail children and the Cetra, the reason behind this is her love for all things beautiful, include nature and its animals. She finds something about these creatures enchanting, and they can even manage to dawn a smile on her face. Other than this, the only ones she shows caring for are for her comrades, though she appears cautious around her own kind.

History: Kali cannot remember her childhood, mainly because she didn’t have one; she was cloned from the remains of Jenova cells by a scientist and ever since then has been alone. Her maker is unknown, though she does not wish to know this person, she is forever wondering of who this person could be. Most of her life has been spent roaming the world and mainly surviving. She has spent much of her free time reading up on past histories of the world, hoping to find something of interest, or that could explain her creation and why when in battle, she transforms into a wolf like beast, but there has been no luck as of yet, but she keeps on trying.

Weapon Choice: Two blades by the names of Shadowfaith and Bloodfire. Shadowfaith has a black hilt with the same markings that she herself has tattooed over her body, embedded into the silver blade, the blade in which is long in length and curves at the end. The sword has been with her ever since she can remember. Bloodfire is similar in style and length, butt he hilt is blood red and the blade has been engraved with the body of a dragon. These blades contain the spirits of her first two chaotic transformations.

Race: Jenova Descendent.
Career: Mercenary

Morph LV1:
Name: Shadowfaith (Yes the name of the sword)
Description: Shadowfaith is wolf like in appearance, jet black in colour with piercing blood red eyes. It is hard to mistake her for a wolf, because of her demonic appearance. Her scruff is not fur, but sharp silver spikes that encircle her neck, and a rack of bones line her back. Her claws are long and sharp with the slightest hint of silver tips to allow her a full out blow on her foes. Her muzzle is longer than your common wolf’ and her tail is again, not fur, but a silver scythe, ideal to act as an extra weapon at her disposal.

Physical Skill Name: Silver rage
What It Does: Shadowfaith rushes forward in a demonic rage and lashes out at her opponents, slashing them with all weapons at her disposal, including her scythe, her jaws and her claws.

Magical Skill Name: Shadows demise
What It Does: Shadowfaith calls forth the element of darkness which takes the form of a pack of wolf like creatures (not nearly as fierce as Shadowfaith herself) and charge forward, enveloping the foe in darkness, causing quite a large amount of damage and casting darkness on all foes.

Endurance: Mid

Morph LV2:
Name: Bloodfire (Again the sword)
Description: Bloodfire is a male character, standing at around 6’ in height and appears to be a tribal warrior, covered in markings and wearing cloth pants, but nothing more. A mask covers his face, taking the form of a dragon and he wields a giant sword, bigger than himself, but defiantly something that a man of his size can handle. His body is covered in the same markings that Kali herself has, but instead of just travelling from her stomach to his neck as Kali’s does, it covers the whole of his body, making is difficult to tell what his true skin colour is.

Physical Skill Name: Slice and Dice
What It Does: Lutalo charges forward in a blind rage and slice’s his foes multiple times with his gigantic sword.

Magical Skill Name: Dragon spirit
What It Does: Bloodfire calls upon the power of the dragon and depending on his whereabouts (for example a cave) would use said element (earth) to call forth the spirit of a dragon, who would then cast an elemental attack on all foes.

Endurance: mid

kurama45, there can be two ninjas, but after that behaviour in the Digi-Morph RP I'm reluctant to let you reserve without giving me a sample before hand, I am not flaming or anything, but the way you approached Digi-Morph has left me sceptical. If you want a place, post which Guardian Summons you're reserving AND an RPG sample.

EDIT: Right, forgot to mention this. I'm a sucker for romance. SO any character plots involving that are welcomed, encouraged and practically begged for. It wouldn't be Final Fantasy without it, would it? You can make your own with two characters(If you do that only one has a Guardian Summon, or you divide the summons in the group between them), or you can work with a fellow RP-er. Anyone in MB is familiar with my views on secondary characters. I am not hypocritical, I do allow them. Mainly because I usually use them.

Name: Siegfried Van Galus, Sieg for short. Though he occasionly heard mutturings of 'Se..ph..' from the scientists at the army base. After checking his genetic profile, he guessed it meant his fourth form, Seraphim.
Age: 21
Description: He is a tall man. His hair is thick and brown, and very messy, falling over his eyes. His eyes themselves are deep brown, but appear almost red. Usually his pupils are normal, but occasionally they become slits like a cats. On his right arm there is a deep red tattoo, which takes the form of three claws and a eye with a slit pupil. Sieg doesn’t know where it came from, but it’s called the ‘Mark Of The Beast’. He wears a red T-shirt under a black leather jacket. On his back he carries his sword crimson, and his jeans are old, and full of holes. He himself is slightly grimy, preferring to hang around the outskirts of towns and villages.

Personality: Sieg is generally very laid back. He has a past, but he doesn’t know it, so he doesn’t let it bother him. He prefers to avoid fights, and is against the army he was in. He prefers to wander place to place, helping those who require it. He loves to just stand and soak in the scenery of new places, and is usually one to like getting to know people. He isn’t forceful, if someone gives him the cold shoulder he will generally just leave them to it.

History: Sieg doesn’t have much of a story. The Jenova cells he holds have left him with no memory before half a year ago. About that time ago, he woke up one day in an army base, in the clothes he wears now, with the sword he has. No-one at the base recognised him, and all computer files recorded was his birth date and weapon of choice. He guessed he must have had a case of amnesia, and set about trying to get on with what he guessed was his life. But he found he didn’t like life in the army, constantly training to cause suffering. So he grabbed a trike from the base and quite in style, by breaking down the gates and driving off into the sunset, sword held high. He decided he was just going to go off and see the world, and find his past. He had no idea where to start or who to ask, but he was quite happy to just wander the lands. He didn’t know why, but he found himself drawn to deserted locations, the Midgar ruins, the lost Temple and the Northern Continent. He has no idea why or who is calling him, but he longs to know more, so he continues his journey. Next stop, Cosmo Canyon…

Weapon Choice: Zwei hander swords. Currently his choice of preference is Crimson, a large two handed Claymore with a blade made of adamantite. The hilt is simple, and the handle has two long crimson ribbons wrapped around it.

Race: Jenova's Descendant

Career: Ex-Soldier, currently unemployed(You can do this, just make sure to reference your old career before hand, so you can choose the weapons)

Omnislash(He gathers all his energy, and charges at the enemy, repeatedly slashing the foe, dealing great amounts of damage each time, before finally dealing an ultimate final blow, leaving the foes completely decimated)

Vehicle: Assault Trike, 'borrowed' from his old days as a soldier. It's a huge three wheeled bike, with thick black armour plating over each wheel. The seat is large, with a sliver back rest coated in leather. the seat is leather, and the tyres are large, designed for all-terrain movement. The front has a pair of mini guns fitted into the handlebars, but Sieg never uses them. The black armour that adorns the two back wheels have a silver dragon's head decorated onto them. Finally, rising out of the back is a long flag, with the same design as his tattoo, the Mark Of The Beast, on it.

Morph LV1:
Name: Galian Beast
Description: In this form he becomes a tall purple…beast. Very similar to a miniature Behemoth, his body is very muscular and coated in purple fur. Two long black horns extend out of the roof of his skull, and he has a long ridge of red hair along his back. His tail is long and tapering, and lays on the floor behind him. He stands on his hind legs, which are very bestial. His arms become powerful claws designed for rendering his foes. He has a permanent snarl on his face.
Physical Skill Name: Berserk Dance
What It Does: He charges at the enemy, striking multiple times with his claws, horns and tail.
Magical Skill Name: Beast Flare
What It Does: He gathers all his rage and unleashes it in an enormous burst of flames. The power rains down on his foes and incinerates them. The damage is large, hits all opponents, and is based on the fire element.
Endurance: Mid


Morph LV2
Name: Mirage
Description: In this form he becomes large and reptilian. He takes the form of a ghostly serpent in a shell, which greatly resemble the plesiosaurs of prehistory. He has a long blue neck, and his head is draconic, with a long muzzle and elaborate fins coming from the back of his head. His eyes are white, and his revealed body is semi transparent. The shell is physical, and much like a turtle’s, but with large spikes embedded in the back. He has four blue, semi transparent fins, that are held at his side. His tail is short, and like the rest of him semi transparent. His mouth forms into a beak, and along his visible body run a series of glowing red lines.
Physical Skill Name: Shellshock
What It Does: He withdraws into his shell and strikes one opponent while spinning.
Magical Skill Name: Destructive-ness
What It Does: His body fades away, leaving just the shell. Then, it takes the form of a blue smog that floats over the foe. The smog begins to swirl, and eventually becomes a raging typhoon. Lighting flashes inside it, and winds blow. The attack strikes all enemies for Thunder, Water and Wind element damage.
Endurance: High

Morph LV3
Name: Diabolos
Description: He takes the form of a large demon. His head is extended forwards into a large, exaggerated chin. The actual head is covered in a black helmet, which allows his white eyes to shine through. He has two long horns extending out of the back of his head. He has two huge black leathery wings, and his body is a deep shade of crimson with black markings. He has a long whip like tail extending behind him. His arms and legs are muscular, ending with talon bearing limbs.

What It Does: His body becomes enveloped in a dark aura, and he charges forward, slicing through any and all foes who stand in front of him. The damage is Non-Elemental.
Magical Skill Name: Dark Messenger
What It Does: He rises into the air, and gathers a huge sphere of dark energy above him. It gathers into his palm, and then he throws it down onto the opponent. The sheer force of the attack causes a cone of energy that is surrounded by ancient symbols. The attack is Gravity, cutting the foes HP in three quarters. This attack, unfortunately, does not affect characters whose powers defy his own, aka bosses.

Description: A huge human like figure, he stands at over eight foot. He carries a large sword, whose handle is in the figure of a pair of wings. The blade is small, but out of it extends a light much like Cloud's Ultimate Weapon. His hair is long and golden yellow, but he wears a golden helmet over his head and a golden chest plate. Under this is a pure white robe. Eight large pairs of wings that are pure white extend from his back.
Physical Skill Name: Angelic Wrath
What It Does: He takes his sword, then disappear in a flash of holy light, he then appears at the side of the enemy, and rush straight through them with an after trail effect from his sword, dealing physical damage to all.
Magical Skill Name: Heaven's Last Stand
What It Does: He places his sword on his back vertically, and the handle becomes a huge pair of tenth wings. He rises up, and the entire battle field is bathed in holy light. The power rises out of him, and enters the sky. The sky then bursts open, as a rain of energy falls on the foes, showering them with holy energy. The attack is Holy element oriented, and causes immense damage with each strike of light cutting his foes to the soul.

Personality: haku is a loving person espeshuly with his girlfriend jahiro. jahiro loves haku and they go every where together. they also hate evil people. they are both kind hearted and give back to the comunity. if someone stole from there home town they would find the person and bring him back.
History: when haku was 10 his mom died by getting shot in the heart by his dad. after 3 years he hunted his dad down and killed him. as for jahiro she was a pampered girl who always got what she wanted. Until hakus dad killed her parents right before haku killed his dad. then haku started to live with jahiro and they grew up.

kurama45: Denied. You're sample's grammar was atrocious, I set five sentence limits on all the catagories you filled in which didn't allow images, and you didn't complete the Limits. You start with LV1, but I need to know all of them before hand so I know whether or not you get too uber. And though my Sign-Up included Braver, it doesn't mean your negated from having to describe it, Your weapons are differant, so how would you use it?

As all of these made sense, and I have a soft spot for Carbuncle(it's a SQUIRREL!), I let him/her do this. If other people want to do this I MAY allow two more spaces, but the maximum amount this RP will increase to is 9.

I'd also prefer existing Summons from other FFs to be used, if you feel you'd rather use the, and to keep in mind the stronger the Summon the smaller the group. Say you want to use the FFIX Madeen and Arc. You use them alone. And the following other game summons are not allowed:

Name: Viper, no one knows his true name except for his parents. His true name is Dar.

Personality:
Viper is very much a loner. He tries to avoid being apart of a group unless it is absolutely necessary or the pay is good. Upon first meeting him, many will think he was a mute but this is not the case. The only reason he doesn’t usually talk to people is because he finds them to be inferior to him. The only time he will speak is when he has very important information or when it is a dire situation.

History: To the outside world Viper is immortal and has been around for close to 1,000 years. They believe that he is the one responsible for the many murders committed by the man in complete black. However, this is not true. In fact, deep in the seclusions of the mountains lays a small clan of black garbed ninjas. And it is from this village that the legend of Viper originates. It consists of a chieftain and three ninja families. The families consist of a dad, a mom, a daughter and a son. The chieftain is the oldest living selected Viper. There are also three sets of grandparents which serve as a council to the chieftain. Also on the council are the living previous selected Vipers. All the males are trained in martial arts and the use of ninjato. Also they are all named Viper right after birth, but the also receive another name from their parents that they only know. All children are born around the same time and as twins. This is because of many generations; a genetic program was ingrained into the bloodline creating this phenomenon. At the same time they are paired with their wolfen partner. When the boys reach the age of 22, they are tested to see who will take over the position of official Viper from the old one. However that is not the end of the new Viper’s training. He is then taught all the mannerisms and memories of the past Vipers. This usually takes 2 years. Therefore every 24 years a new Viper and Bandit is sent out into the world. The reason why they are sent out is because the clan feels it is its duty to rid the world of all evildoers wherever they maybe. They are also sent out to earn money for the clan to survive and to bring back enough supplies so that when they return they have enough to last them for 24 years. So now Dar has become the new Viper and has already spent a year out in the real world.

Weapon Choice:
Shuriken, ninjato, and daggers. The Shuriken he mostly uses is the Conformer. He wears it on his back. He has died it black to match his clothing. He carries two ninjato on his motorbike. The blades are long and thin curving upward into a point. They are made of a very hardy metal making them very sturdy. The hilts are black with a diamond design on them. The daggers look like this:

and are usually carried by Bandit in his mouth. Bandit usually uses these but Viper will occasionally use them if both his swords and shuriken are made useless.

Bandit is very aggressive. Unless he fully trusts you, he will kill you in a second of you approaching him. However, once he trusts you, he is loyal to the end. He is very simple-minded and be easily tricked. Also he is very curious about the environment around him. This is because he was raised in the ninja village alongside Viper.

History: Bandit was born to a wolf clan that has long since been the guardians to the ninja tribe. At birth the three strongest male cubs are paired with one of the three male children. Bandit was paired with Viper. At first they were both reluctant to get to know the other. But after the many years of training, they have become like brothers.

I hope it is okay that I have the wolf and it has those limit breaks. I kind of got the idea from Angelo and Riona’s combine ability. If this is not okay just tell me and I will get rid of it. Also if you can’t tell I kind of based my character of Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe. ANd Nylf to answer your question no, i don't think so. I find it to be interesting. Also, you are doing it again with my name.

MH: Soory, I'll stick to the abbreviation. Sorry again. And for the SUMMON(in FFVII it's just Summons, GFs and Summons are two differant things. That are annoyingly similar. BahamutZERO is better than GF Bahamut though), Gilgamesh, because of a reason you're aboyut to discover. I'm fine with Bandit, he can count as a second character, but lose the Item Limit Break. RedXIII is wolf like, so look at what he can do in terms of physical Limits.

Ookami: Perfectly fine, I'm adding Shadow element to the regime of elements we can hit people with anyway, otherwise Arc from FFIX becomes useless. Which brings me onto this:

Masu Mune has reserved a place with a custom Summon Set. BUT s/he also uses a Summon in a Limit Break, here's the quote:

Heralds of the Apocalypse

All of the summons mentioned in here could easily be transdimensional in nature save for the first one... though I will be reworking them all to some extent.

Ark (based from ff9): This would deal with my character's history. Cid Highwind, never abandoning his dream of going back into space or piloting a better ship created the Ark. A Behemoth of a vessel that proved to be too massive to function. The planet, seeing a fast alternative to recreating the weapons infused Ark with some of life force within it, creating a semi-sentient being. A hundred years after the end of the Highwind legacy, Ark was stolen from Junon harbor (where it was put on display to honor a now unknown hero), where it was used in piracy from that day forward. Being infused with life energies, Ark became a very capable airship, though the family never did find out about its secret.

It should be mentioned that Ark is a crucial point to my character and is part of his level 4 limits and does not become a materia for summon. Therefore Arks attacks would be listed with my characters limit breaks.

Doomtrain (ff8): One might have guess it would happen, but somehow this hellbound train "derailed", breaching the dimensional barriers. In this new land it found itself bound to the will of the planet and now looks to break free and deliver souls into the depths of hades as is its lot.
Attack: End of the Tunnel: Doomtrain, being now more ethereal than it was is no longer capable of inflicting direct damage unless junctioned with another materia. The two most powerful combo materia to use are Contain and Ultima. However, even if no materia bonus is added, Doomtrain still inflicts a number of status empairments that would make a Malbaro greener with envy.

Eden (ff8): Feeling the troubled cries of a world elsewhere, Eden shifted realities to herald in another apocolypse, only to arrive at the decisive hour when holy decided to save the planet and humanity. Intrigued by this recent chain of worlds saved from the brink of destruction, Eden lingered around to see what the future may hold, and possibly help the planet itself in its next dire hour.

Name: Naomi Lament

Age: 23

Description: Naomi is average sized for her age, standing at a good five foot eleven. She has pale white skin, an indication that she either spends way too much time inside, or only goes out at night. Her pinkish-red hair hangs to about mid-back, and is usually pulled up into two very spikey looking ponytails. Her grown out bangs are cut off at shoulder length. These bangs stick out, forming a sort of frame around her face. Her eyes are pistachio green, and are a clear indication to her bright and cheerful personality. Her eyes are strangely warm and inviting, seeming to hold a secret in which she herself may not know the answer to. She's skinny at best, appearing rather frail looking. Despite this, she has surprisingly large amounts of energy and endurance, and it does hurt quite a bit when she whacks someone with the strange staff she carries with her. Her main outfit consists of a black skirt, which is pointed around the edges. The points hang just below midthigh. Her shirt is sleeveless with straps that wrap around the back of her neck; it is also black in color. In the middle of her shirt, set just below her neckline, is a small, crudely sewn on patch of a red chocobo. Over all this is a crimson colored hooded cloak, pinned together on her right shoulder by an onyx brooch outlined in silver. Her sandals are black, and they have thin black straps that wrap up and around her leg, reaching halfway up towards her knees.

Personality: A joker at best, Naomi could be described as being on the verge of optimistic, but not quite there yet. She likes to tease others in a well meaning manner, and will often try to cheer people up. However, when she is down and out, it takes much more effort to get her smiling again. She is quick to brush off a compliment, but will just as quickly brood over insults and criticism. She takes all the faults and errors people point out seriously, and tries to fix them as best she can. If these "flaws" cannot be fixed, she will remain silent and shy around those who insulted her. When it comes to battling, she is usually serious and tactical, though not perfect. When under a certain amount of stress, her spells will miss their targets, or she'll even mess up the chanting and cast something completely different than what she had intended.

Naomi has always felt close ties with the spiritual things around her, and has a natural love for just about everything. Though she has not been taught this, she has a strong feeling that everything that exists, be they insects, trees, birds, the monsters, even the humans themselves; they all have a connection somehow. Some force pulls their energies together. And when something dies or withers away, its energy is returned to the planet again. She also seems to know about things that have happened before other people found out, though she'll never discuss how or why.

History: Found washed up on the shores near the well known Chocobo Ranch, Naomi was raised as a country girl. She instantly took a liking to raising and caring for chocobos, and was always ready and willing to help out around the stables (not that she had much of a choice anyway). When she wasn't assigned to any chores, or for some reason had free time, she could be seen reading what few books the ranch owners had. She quickly became fascinated with the history of the planet she lived on and the magical properties of the crystallized energy known as materia. The mysteries of the Ancients, as well as the interesting stories about places like Wutai and Mideel, and even the great legend of the firey rock that almost destroyed everyone and everything... All these things she found thrilling to read about, and she wanted to learn more. Naomi has traveled the world over in the search for more in depth stories on what happened to the planet and why. To survive, she mainly collects treasures and artifacts she finds during her travels, and pawns them off at various shops or auctions. There are a lot of old rich people who like to collect stuff out there.

Weapon Choice: Naomi fights with a staff, though it is more often referred to as a walking stick as opposed to an actual weapon. It's made of mythril, and is covered in a smooth coat of red paint. The grippers placed on it are black in color, and the metallic covers on each end of the staff are white. Trailing from under the metallic tip to the middle gripper is a sturdy piece of white cloth, another piece of cloth goes from the middle gripper to the bottom metallic cover as well. When being held horizontally in the air, it will look like a "w" with a line going across the top. These cloths serve for the purpose of better handling; Naomi can twirl the staff around and slide it on her arms with them.

Race: Cetra

Career: Materia Hunter, but not so much a Ninja (the stealth is there, yeah, but she doesn't fight like one). Can also put "Treasure Hunter."

Limit Break Set: Spiritual

Lv1:
-Refreshing Mist: Some health restored to nearby allies by a soothing, oddly blue tinged mist of... healing.
-Siren's Song: A beautiful, haunting melody fills the air, mesmerizing the opponent. Casts Charm, Confusion, and Silence on all enemies.
LV2:
-Elemental Force: A randomly chosen enemy is buffeted by a set of elemental spells, each hit causing minor damage. Casts a fire based, ice based, lightning based, water based, earth based, wind based, holy based, and shadow based spell, each one time. When combining damages, this would be equal to one hit with a normal LV2 limit break.
-Sacrifice: Sacrifice her own health and well being so that nearby party members who are tired and wounded will have part of their health restored. The less people this effects, the more they are healed. Basically, sacrifice 3/4ths of her own HP to restore all of one person's HP, 1/2 of two people's HP, 1/3 to three people and up.
LV3:
-Runic: The next time an enemy casts a spell, any spell, that spell is absorbed and used to restore Naomi's own spiritual energy. Basically, absorb the spell and gain back the amount of MP used to cast the spell. No damage is taken on Naomi's part.
-Pulse of Life: Both health and spiritual energy are completely restored to all allies within range of the spell. Negative magical effects, such as magical poison, paralysis, and petrification are also removed. Basically, restore HP, MP, remove status effects.
LV4:
-Fall of the Skies: Celestial beams of white light (ala comets) fall from the skies, accounting for multiple hits of damage to all enemies. Followed by the barrage of smaller comets is a single comet that is bigger than the rest. The less enemies there are, the more damage each enemy takes. Non-elemental attack.
-Mighty Guard: Casts Protect, Shell, Haste, Regen, Float, and Nullify-All on all allies. Also removes all negative status effects.

Vehicle: Gold Chocobo
Gonna go out on a loop here and request something really special. If this is asking for a bit much (and it probably is), then a black one would be next preferred, then green, then blue, then yellow.

RPG sample: Excerpt from the private RPG...

Naomi sighed as she padded on, lifting a pale white hand and running it through her hair so as to remove the offending locks that had been blown within her eyesight by the light breeze that wafted through the valley. The gnarled staff she used as a walking stick could simply be considered that, were it not for the odd symbols, beads, and pieces of fabric that hung from it, drifting to and fro with the wind. She now leaned on said staff for support, breathing lightly as she scanned the area. Her light green eyes swerved around, checking out the environment and finally landing upon her destination: the three-story mansion up ahead that seemed to be made of some sort of stone. Perhaps it was granite, but Naomi really couldn't care less, so long as the people who designed the building were smart enough to not make the door and window hinges out of stone as well. She leaned there for awhile yet, just absently staring at the area as though she were trying to comit it to memory.

After a good ten minutes or so, she felt a soft nudge at her side. Pistachio green eyes met icy blue eyes as her kindhearted Espeon companion stared up at her in concern, the opal embedded in her head glinting in the sunlight, sending out tiny little dots of multicolored light. Cassy tilted her head to the side slightly, her large ears flopping sideways and hanging at an odd angle. This action was enough to bring a grin to Naomi's face, coupled with a tiny chuckle. The pink-haired girl leaned down slightly, scratching the purple fox behind the hears.

"Thanks, I think I needed that. I was thinking too much again, huh?" she inquired.

The psychic creature only made a sort of shrugging motion, then continued on her way. Naomi shook her head, adjusted her staff, and started walking again. Once she got closer to the mansion itself, she saw several odd things. One was two young girls who couldn't be any older than ten, a completely white Ninetails, and two odd looking people who appeared to be sneaking around to the back entrance. She scratched the back of her head, not sure about which situation she should tackle first. This problem seemed to resolve itself, however, when the white Ninetails suddenly decided she'd rather not have a rider anymore. The young girl fell unceremoniously to the ground, and the fire fox proceeded to place a threatening paw on her neck and growled at her in an annoyed way.

"Man, we haven't been here for more than ten minutes or so and they're already trying to kill each other. I tell ya Cassy, this job so isn't worth what the master of this mansion is paying me..." she muttered as she watched the scene play out.

"But you aren't getting paid anything for being here."

"Exactly."

Thinking quickly, Naomi's gaze snapped to her right, where her second traveling companion was sitting quietly, his amethyst eyes downcast. The sleek, black and white-streaked Ninetails was already blaming himself for Naomi's stroke of bad luck, and he was quite surprised when he heard her dish out his first real order for the day.

"Heya Comet, could you do me a favor and stop that white Ninetails over there from killing her companion? A light tackle should do the trick, eh?"

Comet seemed a little startled at first, and it seemed his already drooping tails sunk lower at the thought of intentionally causing harm to another creature. He looked hesitantly over at the human girl currently pinned to the ground, then stood up. He took off at a dash, becoming increasingly faster as he charged forward. His light paws made no sound as he ran. At the last minute he turned, slamming his side into the white Ninetails he had been ordered to attack. The white fox staggered away from the human she had been threatening to kill, nearly falling over in the process. Comet kept his ears low and refused to make eye contact with the now recovering Ninetails; he also avoided looking at her two female companions. He chose to stare at an oddly bent blade of grass that seemed to stick out from the rest. Gosh... this blade of grass sure was... interesting...

"I-I'm really sorry about that," he managed to stutter out in his own, quiet little voice, "I hope I didn't hurt you or anything... But it really looked like you were going to kill this girl and that couldn't happen, you know, because there's enough death in this world already and... I'm just really sorry..."

MK: Fine, you didn't have to change all moves, just that item one.

RD: Accepted, and you can get Comet in RP, with time of course. Materia hunter or not, that's a powerful materia. All I can say for getting materia in RP is 'be sensible'. Nothing too powerful too quickly. And for Ultima freaks, wait and see...just, don't find it is all I can say.

Name: Syvet Silverbane (Aliases: Captain Silverbane and Silver to his friends)

Age: 25

Description: Syvet stands at a decent 6’2” with a lean build. His fair skin would suggest he doesn’t see much sun, in reality he just doesn’t burn easily. His golden hazel eyes nicely offset his silver-grey hair (a trademark in his family), which he keeps at shoulder length and combed straight back. As for what his face looks like… well it depends on whom you ask. When he’s out for a “good time” he’s often considered a pretty boy. However his subordinates see him often as having a very masculine and serious look to him, while his enemies often say he looks like the devil himself. He certainly has more faces than this, but those are easily the three most common.
He wears leather armor under his normal clothing finding it to offer sufficient protection while still allowing free movement, and his normal clothing is very simple, despite his wealth; worn khakis and a sleeveless teal t-shirt are his normal apparel. At his left side is a holster holding his custom made six-shooter (he’s right handed but is more comfortable using a reverse draw style), and on his left, a satchel of bullets. Near the holster is also an area with bullet sleeves, and in those he keeps specialty bullets for dire situations.

Personality: Syvet is laid back in his off time. Despite having command of the Ark he tries to spend as little time on it as possible and is more prone to lounge on the beaches of Costa del Sol or gamble in… well, gamble wherever he can. He can be a bit of a playboy at times, but tries not to hit on anyone who’s not just out for a good time as of all things he hates to see women cry. However when he’s doing anything even closely related to piracy, he becomes a very different person, becoming almost unapproachable to most. Most of this stems from the pride he has in his family history; he’s proud to be a pirate and it shows. However now he looks to leave his mark in his family history, the same way his great great grandmother did when she stole Ark, or his father when he stole one of the only existing quadruple link bangles in existence. Syvet sees only one thing that can match those feats and seeks out the legendary Master Materia, though none seem to know if they truly exist.

History: The Cetra blood in the Silverbane line had been dormant for millennia and only began to re-awaken in Syvet’s mother (who technically wasn’t a Silverbane decendant… but in her family line it was dormant). Realizing that her child would probably need training to protect himself she implored her husband to start their sons training early. Hesitant, but realizing what his wife could do, and realizing his son would more than likely be capable of more, he agreed. Quickly noticing the more frail body structure than had been seen in any silverbane, he stayed away from fighting technique and focused on making Syvet nimble and dexterous. Since swordplay obviously wouldn’t be his forte, Syvet was instead taught how to be a sharpshooter, and his prior training made him quite proficient at it. Syvet was later made right hand to his father at 19 so when he eventually took over as captain, he would already have experience and the respect of his crewmen. His parents have since retired, leaving the legacy to continue with Syvet when he was 23.

Race: Cetra (It should be noted that this Cetra line dealt more in “purging” and therefore has no direct healing, buffing abilities, but rather all directly or passively offensive.)

Magic Release: Causes a chosen green materia to temporarily max out, allowing for the highest level spells it has to be cast (may have alternate effects on more advanced magic materia)

Skill Release: Allows a skill materia to show its hidden potential. Varies from skill materia to skill materia.

Shard Bullet: Syvet loads in one of his special bullets, causing an explosion of the type of materia used on impact. (bullets brought must be chosen while on Ark)

LV3:

Forced Return: Forces an opponents essence back into the life stream causing damage and serious debilitating physical side affects (such as atrophe).

Materia Cannon: Calls upon the crew of the Ark to fire the Materia Cannon. (Materia used can only be set while on Ark, and materil used in cannon crumbles after use as it becomes completely spent.)

LV4:

Awakening: Temporarily activates the true power of a Cetra within Syvet, however after use this leaves him in critical condition. During this time he can slightly manipulate the lifestream to bring forth the memories of beings of old (that may not have been processed into new life yet). This attack is random, but for as long as he can maintain this form (choice of RP Master) he will randomly call a memory of any hero, villain, to perform his or her, most powerful attack (save for those that transform).

WEAPON Rebirth: Ark is brought to life to rain down the destruction of the planet, using its own attack followed by the signature attacks of the other WEAPONS. First Ark will unleash 50 missiles of pure shadow energy followed by 50 missiles of pure energy from the memory of Diamond (Diamond Flash). Whatever is left standing after this will have to endure the subsequent blasts brought forth by the memory of Emerald causing MP damage as well as physical, and one unlucky foe to take its imitated Aire Tam Storm (Emeralds strongest attack for those who don’t recall). From this point the attacks wind down a bit as an enemy is hit with the memory of Ultima (a powered up Shadow Flare) and the memory of Ruby (a powered up Ultima followed by quicksand).

Note: The Limits for 4 are equally powerful in optimal conditions, however one focuses on magic damage and the other on physical.

Vehicle: Ark

History of Ark: Cid Highwind, never giving up his dream to go back into space or fly a better ship created Ark, a behemoth of an airship that proved to be to bulky for use. The planet, seeing an opportunity to create a new WEAPON without having to make them again, infused lifestream into the creation, along with the memories of the previous WEAPONS. Being Dormant and already proven as immobile through sane means it was put on display in Juno, until a hundred years after the end of the Highwind legacy. Now an amazing display of a forgotten man, but still considered a city treasure, Clarice Silverbane stole the monstrosity (finding it to be surprisingly mobile despite what was said) and searing the name of the Silverbane Pirates into the annals of history like a branding iron. In reality it became so mobile only after infused with life, though none of the Silverbanes have learned its secret… yet.

RPG sample:
Syvet burst onto the main bridge in a huff. In his hand he held a thick tome, though it didn’t stay there for long as he slammed it down onto one of the consoles. A pilot grimaced at the sound it made, realizing this was all delicate machinery (well, he assumed it was since no one knew the arks secret).

“Captain, are you sure that’s wise? I think it would be hard to repair a console if you damaged it.”

The young and fiery Silverbane paid no heed to the helmsman and burst out in a rant of anger, “I can’t believe this! I must have gone through twenty books trying to figure out how to translate this one tome and none of them were any help! How in bloody Hades am I supposed to find clues to the location of the Master Materia’s if I can’t translate the only clue I have to them?”

The crewmembers looked amongst themselves in confusion and hesitation to respond; though luckily none of them had to as a black haired beauty of twenty-eight made her presence known.”

“First of all Captain, you’re assuming that this trinket you picked up in a place as trustable as a flea market talks about the Master Materia. Second, you’re assuming they even exist…”

To this remark Syvet shot a glare of death toward the woman, “What was that Marci? Care to repeat it?”

To this expression Marci shot back an equally fierce yet cold look that quickly humbled the expression of the Captain.

“Oh don’t you even dare Silver.”

At those words the crew immediately went back to their work, all thinking similar things such as, “Not good… she used his nickname while we’re on duty.” Marci had been a childhood friend of Syvet, her family serving alongside the Silverbane family for generations, and now she was Syvet’s right hand (The two also had an on/off relationship though it never really impacted anything), and everyone knew when she spoke anything but his title while on duty, there was trouble to be had later. A loud argument was exchanged between the two until Marci slammed a fist into the wall she was near, denting the steel a bit, but also hurting her hand in the process. Syvet rushed over to help her, but she shot another glance at him telling him that this fight was only being postponed.

“If you’re still going to be so stubborn on this, then just go to Cosmo Canyon… they’re supposed to have the best sages and scientists there; maybe one will be able to decipher your precious book so you can find out it doesn’t talk about those damn pieces of fiction and then we can move on to real work.”

Regaining his composure, Syvet stood straight and proud and announced with conviction, “Thank you Second Mate Marci, your suggestion has been duly noted; you are hence dismissed to sick bay to treat your hand.”

Flinching at the tone of voice the Captain took up she turned and walked out briskly while cradling her hand. As the bridge door shut behind her, Captain Silverbane turned his attention to the rest of the bridge and proudly stated, “Helmsmen, set a course for Cosmo Canyon!”
