I just got the game last week and I thought I would make a thread about it. Just talk about where you are and what items you have. Right now I'm near the end of the game.

Zot Tower yet (well, I'm not having much time to play, anyway).

At least it's not that bad like my SNES file (stopped before Troia out of pure boredom.)

I'm liking it, and liking even more because Square-Enix is going to make a trend on this. Which means: FFV and FFVI will be out there soon, and I'll be a happy girl :D

I'm going to be buying it after Christmas with gift certificate money. I've played the game on an SNES emulator, but I'm only a few hours into it so I don't mind starting over on the GBA.

Was that actually announced? That would totally rock. I need more good RPGs for my GBA.

Well, at least there are boards for FFV and FFVI on Gamefaqs' GBA section.

Now I'm almost leaving Giott. And BTW, the fabled magazine is still there. Although it is just a innuendo now. (Good literature? Riiiight, Cecil...)

I haven't even started playing it yet, but I can't really pinpoint when I should actually bother getting around to it, because I've already beaten it twice in the PSX version. I'm only playing the GBA version, because of the Cave of Trials. And the party change function.

They kept Smut? OMG, I hope they did! And the Programmer's Room plz! Let me know now. I need a turn-on after finding out the turds lowered the difficulty of the original. :(

I SO want this game. Final Fantasy IV is probably my most favorite game of all times. I just love all of it, and it seems this version has a few nifty add-ons. I'm getting it as soon as possible. :)

Got it last week. I've beaten the boss of the Lunar Ruins, which is [SPOIL]the alternate Zeromus sprite from the Japanese easytype, called Zeromus EG[/SPOIL].

Orion, the magazine is on the breakroom. But it is just a plain magazine now, they didn't mention about being pr0n. It says on the Item screen "One of Cecil favorites"; when you try to read it, the screen flashes, Cecil looks from one side to other and says: Now that's good literature!

Yeah, a little disappointing. Yet it's funny if you know what the magazine is really supposed to be  .

(sigh) I'm still training for the final battle. All of my party members are at least level 43+. The monsters in the last part of the game are pretty hard to beat. Yet I still have fun kicking their butts.

I just got the game last night (for Christmas), and I'm at Mt. Hobs. I lost to Mom Bomb though after she exploded, killing Edward and Rydia in the process. I need to level up.

Is there a map at all for this game, because that would be really nice.

Too bad the Smut was renamed to "Magazine" in this version. I am leveling up currently. I have just beaten rubicante for the first time and my people are level 30, which is low. VERY low.

Try using Dwarves' Bread. It'll open the map for you.

Or take a look at Gamefaqs, there might be something like that there (Hint: Try looking the Faqs for the SNES version).

Best Final Fantasy game, evar. Well, after VI of course.

Anyway, I've really enjoyed this new version of it. The translation is a LOT better, while still keeping in a lot of the classic lines "you spoony bard!" and the "I am invincible!"

The character portraits are a lot more clear now.. Rose doesn't look like a man, though Cecils paladin artwork looks incredibly like a woman now.

My one problem with the game is that they've completely ***** slapped the difficulty. The game was hard as hell before, but now you don't even need to try, and you can fly through the game (until one certain point). But considering it's a handheld game, that's probably for the best. The game is still an incredibly amount of fun if you can look past the overly dramatic storyline.

Anyone who doesn't already have it, needs to go get it now.

Well, they may have used the EasyType variety of Final Fantasy IV for the GBA port, because in the original SNES version there was HardType (which is what the PSX version is) and the EasyType, so that may be why it is so easy.

You think it's overly dramatic?

BTW: I'm at the part where Golbez reveals himself. lol, I enjoy his evil theme song.

Also... For some reason I really don't like the characters in this game. I don't feel as attached to them as I did with the characters from FF1 (Even though they had no personality) and FF2. But the story is great though!

Where would I find that?
Err, I actually forgot who drops these thingies. You can find it in chests/hidden places or buy it on Dwarves Castle.
Or, if you have someone with White Magic and able to learn Sight (Paladin Cecil, Rosa, Tellah and maybe Porom, too), use it. Sight opens a map, too.
