Braaiiiiiinss......
I played the first Tactics at this one place and it was really fun.
But I haven't played Tactics Advance, which I heard is better than the first Tactics.

What do you think...and know?

90% of people will disagree with me, but I vastly preferred FFTA in every category, except difficulty. FFTA's sort of... easy, but otherwise amazing.

FFT's stupid ability learning system killed it for me.

FFTA, It owned FFT in everyway except not having Cloud, and story. Though having Cloud was great in Tactics.

It seems that FFTA, is either loved or absolutely hated.

I personally HATED FFTA. I thought it was a horrible game. The only ties that FFTA and FFT had was the land itself and the name Ivalice. It was far too easy for me, but that was only because by the time I had beaten FFTA once, I beat FFT twice beforehand. FFTA's Quest system killed it for me, some of them were just far too repetitive, involved just... killing enemies. FFT actually HAD an intriguing storyline and I loved the characters, especially the Beowulf+Reis sidequest, and the classes were very unique, moreso than FFTA. I didn't find it very complicated at all, but that's just me. The diversity and replay value found in FFT is great, and there are so many characters to get to know. I found FFTA's plot a bit strange, but that's also just me...

I'd suggest that you get FFT if you don't mind the length and the learning curve. But FFT still beats out FFTA in many aspects.

Though by the looks of it the next 50% of the posters will begin flaming me. ^^;;

I actually found more fun trying to level all of the job classes for my main party members in FFTA. >_> It was abit on the easy side except when punishment was brought down on you if there was a law saying you can't hit monsters..and the field was nothing but monsters..and the fight was a mission. x_X;

I tried FFT but for some reason, it just didn't grab me like FFTA. I guess it's cause I just happen to like trying to get everything done. >_>;

FFT is a lot longer than FFTA, if you're like me wanting to get all the secret characters (yes, I even did try to get Zodiac, I ended up killing Elidibs but no summoner of mine survived Zodiac...) it will take even longer. It was one of the most epic games I have ever played.

So if you don't mind extremely long games it's all good.
