Final Fantasy VII - Remake - Wut are your thoughts

Just posting this thread to see if there is anyone else out there that thinks that FF7 should have a remake. I am not implying that there was anything wrong with the first one cuz believe me when i say "It was the best game i'd ever played". Guess i'm just sayin that I think they should do a remake cuz ever time I play the original I always end up thinking something is wrong with it. Here is a list that I have comprised to reveal all the faults in the game.

1. Don't want to be reminded of damn lego's every time I play the thing

*Note* I know that it is only one fault but still...........one fault should be enough reason for them to remake such a masterpiece of a game.

If there is anyone else that finds any other faults in the game, please feel free to post them......though there shouldn't be any other faults since that is the one and only.

I personally think it'd be thirteen thirtyseven, because I never got to play the original FFVII, and I want to play a better version of it. :p

Of course. FFVII is my favourite Final Fantasy, tons of people would buy it. Every one of my friends would probably want one and most think its the best FF. But. I wouldn't be suprised if we do, considering all of the FFVII things their doing.

I thinik that they should not do a re-make of this game. I mean, if they do, they will change some of the things in it and it will not be the original (I know that it won't if it is a remake, but you get what I mean).

I think that instead of remaking a classic, they should put their efforts into making a new FF game which has great new features and stories.

Yes. If you want the game and don't have it, just buy the original version on eBay. I'd rather see new games than remakes.

As much as I love the original FF7, I would love to see a remake, too. I highly doubt they could ruin it, and I have to admit the thought of FF7 in HD fascinates me... (I'm trying not to sound too fangirly, can you tell?)

They may make it better, but like Latios said, why make a remake when thay could be making something new. They could be concentrating on the FFVII collection what they are doing now anyway.

And I agree with what Sining Metagross said, or at least what he was thinking. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I'd prefer a nice Dragon Quest remake from Square-Enix

Final Fantasy VII was pretty meh overall. Nothing to really distinguish itself for the pack, yet it became one of the most popular and overrated things ever.

No, FFVII doesn't need to be remade. What's the point playing a game you've played already? All that would be different is graphics, and I'll commend FFVII on having excellent graphics for the time it first came out. I agree with those people who said they should be trying to create more Final Fantasies with a *new* plotline and characters, instead of just remaking an old one.

I swear I remember reading that they are making a remake for the PS3... was I dreaming?

Anyway, I'd like a remake, along with 8 and 9 in a package for Wii or GC. Mainly because Square stated that they were planning to release a game that would bring Nintendo fans up to speed. Sadly, it never happened. But with the Wii getting so much hype, it could still happen.

They showed 1 PS3 tech demo that happened to use FFVII, and morons jumped on it and said that they were remaking FFVII. They have said many times since that they aren't.

Yup, oh how all those rumours that it was confirmed were annoying! I wouldn't mind it, but it certainly isn't necessary. It would however look simply stunning next to XIII ^^

I like the PS version how it is, but for those who seem to have something against originals, it might get those who can't handle the graphics of the first to try it out. Besides, I guess it would bring it up to the modern world with all of the other compilation titles, and truly rule.

No, but I know alot of people who wanted to see Aeris and Tifa in that lingerie they wore :D.

That joke out of the way (sadly actually, that is not so much a joke probably [Shudders]) Yes, it should be remade, if only because we don't need 3 versions of XIII, or XI period

Never said they'd have to do it now, just that I'd love to see it. I mean, if they can handle doing both XIII and versusXIII in the same time, I guess they could handle doing a remake of VII alongside something else.

My feelings on a FF7 remake in a nutshell. If their gonna remake somthing, Remake FF8 or 9 I like them better

It would be so damn cool. My opinion is that they didn't need to do all that Before Crisis/Dirge of Cerberus/Crisis Core stuff.

They needed to completely focus on Advent Children and get it done quickly, instead of delaying it a hundred times and making many people lose interest, and then move on to an FFVII remake. FFVII, FFVII Advent Children, FFVII Remake. That sounds good, doesn't it?

Anyway an FFVII would be insanely good. Imagine Gold Saucer, Knights of Round, Emerald/Ruby Weapon, etc in PS3 graphics...
