Hello everybody! I am ~Ghostwriter~ - though that name is subject to change - and I am very excited to be here!
I've actually visited this forum quite a few times over the past 6 months - never posted anything, just read other peoples' stuff - but I like it a lot. (I've been coming to Serebii.net for years now - and it rocks out loud!) Back on subject, this is a really cool place - the members seem nice and the staff seem like decent people. Anyway, I figured it was about time I joined up - so here I am!
About Me: I think I am a nice person. I'm really smart, but I'm also quiet, and very shy - except around my friends - however, I will stand up for what I believe in, and if I see someone being picked on unfairly, or see something that I think is not fair, I will not sit and watch - I will try and do something to resolve it. I love to write - it is one of my favorite pastimes - and I enjoy music immensely. I also enjoy learning about other countries. I'm a Master of Procrastination when it's something I don't want to do...not one of my better attributes....^_^;;
Me and Pokemon: I'm an older Pokemon fan. I got hooked on it at 11 - and never stopped loving it, even after several years. I'm one of those who survived Johto's fillers (though not all of them were bad) and came back for Advanced Generation (thank-you to Serebii.net for all the awesome info on that saga!). My favorite Pokemon are...well, I like all Grass-types, all Ghost-types, and many many more.
A couple more things - I'm not totally clueless, but have a few questions about these forums. (I'm really sure I'll look like a total idiot, but better now than later). If someone could answer them for me, I'd be really appreciative:
1)Those groups that I see in Public Profiles - are they actual groups people have joined, or are they simply groups that people consider themselves a part of?
2) Are these groups only on these forums?
3) Precisely how do you 'bump' a thread - so I can avoid it? (I've never really gotten a full definition for that...) Aren't people supposed to just go to the last post (or last page) and post from there? (This was one of those stupid questions...^_^;
4) In the Announcements - (yes, I actually read them...I actually read the rules, too) are only staff members allowed to post their opinions on a certain subject, or are regular members allowed to do that, too? (Another stupid question.)
5) Is swearing allowed? (Not that I want to swear - I don't.) I didn't see anything in the rules about it.
If someone could answer these for me, I would really appreciate it!! Thank You!
