you kno there are those 4 120 att. and 70 acc. moves:Thunder, Fire Blast, Solar beam, and Blizzard right. well rain dance helps thunder always hits and sunny day helps solarbeam by not having it take 2 turns to hit. well what helps Fire Blast and Blizzard ?

Discuss.

Blizzard or any ice moves aren't increased by Hail or any weather move, if I can remember.

But Rain dance does effect the freezing condition, I think.

Only Thunder's accuracy is increased.

Solarbeam has 120 power, 100 accuracy and 10 PP. It's needed recharged is negated when Sunny Day is in play.

Thunder is a no-no in my eyes unless its a last restort in a battle, but if Rain Dance is in play, it's great.

Blizzard I don't use, and won't use.

Also Fire Blast's accuracy is actually 85, not 70. Sunny Day will boost the power even more from it's base 120 power.

And oh yes, I took all this information from the attackdex on the main site. Which can pretty much answer any questions on the games, well, virtually all of them.

Thunder is really only good on electrics with limited movepools, Kyogre, and Castform.

Solarbeam is better for a lot of pokes.

Fire Blast should only be used in the metagame to counter Skarm.

thunder - 120 power, 70 accuracy, 30% paralyze. hits pokemon using fly for double damage, and never misses in rain. use in the uber metagame, to kill kyogres. otherwise, thunderbolt is better.

fire blast - 120 power, 85 accuracy, 10% burn. actually worth using on a) anything that gets STAB on it, and b) physical sweepers, to deal with skarm/forry/steelix. use FB on sweepers, and flamethrower on tankish pokes, or if you need the extra PP.

solarbeam - 120 power, 100 accuracy, attacks on second turn unless it's sunny. half power in rain. use on exeggutor, but not much else. never use without sunny day, and a chlorophyll pokemon.

blizzard - 120 power, 70 accuracy, never misses in hail and hits both opponents in double battle. do not use, ever.

Thunder on Linoone is a novelty, plus murders Skarm at no extra cost.

I agree with you on Blizzard... it may have been good in RBY but is practically unusable in the ADV gen.

It is useable ingame however because it is much easier to obtain then FT, TB, and IB.

Rain Dance increases Freeze length. I remember because one time in PS2 I got frozen from a corsola's ice beam and for some bizarre reason I remained frozen. Eventually it couldn't Rain Dance before and I magically got defrosted.

rain dance-boost water moves for 5 turns(thunder always hits)
sunny day-boosts fire moves for 5 turns(make solarbeam hits in first turn)
hail-decreases enemys hp, and boost ice moves for 5 turns
sandstrom-increse sand ground moves for 5 turns and decreases enemy hp.

That is that

Blizzard sees no help. Fire blast usually hits for me, and sunny day increases it's power.

Blizzard gets no help, thouh Hail is IMO more annoying than Sunny Day and Rain Dance.

Thunder: 5 PP, 120 Pow, 70 Acc, 100 Acc in rain
Fire Blast: 5 PP, 120 Pow, 85 Acc
Solarbeam: 10 PP, 120 Pow, 100 Acc, 2 turns, 1 turn in sunlight
Blizzard: 5 PP, 120 Pow, 70 Acc

Your right, Hail is pretty much completely useless, except for wasting a move.
At the very least, it should be like Rain Dance/Sunny Day, and increase Ice-type moves for five turns.
