@InnerFlame @GoldenHouou - You're both accepted.

@Dragalge - Also accepted, but please update the "Region / House" section with where specifically she's from. She isn't part of a noble house, so just invent a town name and indicate it's in the southern part of the Empire. Was thinking of piecing an AU map together so that we have a better idea of where everyone is located.

@Hydrangea - You've ignored both of my requests to let me know the status of your SU and haven't touched it in a month and a half, so I'm presuming you aren't interested and am removing your reservation. If you are still interested, then let me know and depending on where we are / how fast you can get a SU completed we can talk about getting you back in.

Sign ups are now closed, I'm going to work with the characters who have been accepted and create my own, and then we can get the ball rolling!

@Vern - Accepted!

Here is my character - expect the RP thread to drop soon, sorry for the wait!

Name: Zella Redstone
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Crest: n/a – no Crest.
Region / House: Iyersgate – A large settlement in the southwest of Fodlan, inland. Well-known for its robust mining economy, most of its residents are religiously devout, but very few are of noble birth.
Skills: Brawling

Appearance:
7ekphI8.png

Zella is a bit on the shorter side at 5'3” (162cm) but with a toned, athletic body composition that her typical combat outfit exemplifies. Her combat outfit is pretty typical of brawling specialists (*ignore reference image, it doesn't have the right details): blue sleeveless fighting tunic, secured in place with strong leather straps, leather leg braces, long boots reinforced with steel armor, and large iron gauntlets on each hand. She wears this whenever she's out in battle, training in class, or practicing on her own time – which, really, is most of the time. Otherwise, she can be seen in the typical school uniform – navy high-waisted skirt, white long-sleeved dress shirt, and tall dress boots.

Zella's hair is light brown and short, with boyish long bangs. Her eyes are magenta, and her stare can be intense. This is further supported by dark angled eyebrows that furrow if she's even slightly miffed about something.

Personality:
Zella is outspoken and quick to get going. Years of fighting to prove and better herself have hardened her personality and she rarely shows fear to anybody, even when she should. She has little respect for weak people, including lazy people or those with a low work ethic. She personally spends much of her free time training on her own or with other classmates. On the other hand, she has a strong respect for those she views as stronger than she is, in particular those with crests, which she views as the ultimate symbol of power. Having never met somebody with a crest before attending the academy however, she's a little naive about how they actually function, and assumes everybody who possesses one must also be strong of spirit and heart. She is generally friendly to similarly-aged peers, being a little more jaded around older adults, but does flock to those she deems as stronger or harder working.

She can rationalize herself out of any situation that she'd prefer not to be a part of, though class rarely falls under this scenario, unless she holds little respect for the instructor. Daily prayers, though? A waste of time in her books – wouldn't the Goddess prefer that she spend time bettering herself to help the empire? Though her headstrong and at times rebellious personality might make her seem highly stubborn and opinionated, she's actually really open to changing her mindset if somebody she respects provides an adequate counterargument.

Zella isn't a huge fan of reading or books, and sitting still for long enough to properly absorb the content is frustrating for her. She isn't a strong student when it comes to written exams, but places well on practical and oral exams. She also has little patience for the finer arts, like painting or dancing, and lack of attention to detail makes her a notoriously bad cook. She can be a bit of a show-off when it comes to her fighting abilities, and is quick to challenge anybody who even insinuates doubt at her abilities. Though she's a pretty good loser and doesn't mind being bested- if she has it her way, that just means she's found herself a new training partner for the next little while. At least until she can figure out their weaknesses and challenge them to a rematch, that is.

History:
Zella was born and raised as an only child in a large town called Iyersgate, which is well-known for its robust mining economy, making it a comfortable place to live. Both of her parents are of common blood, and as far as she knows they have no relatives that have ever had a crest. This is typical of the townsfolk of Iyersgate; almost nobody there is of noble blood. Her parents were both highly religious – again, very typical of the town - and raised Zella to be the same, though in her teenaged years she rebelled and refused to attend daily prayers anymore.

Zella's father was a soldier who specialized in brawling, and he taught her everything he knew. When he got a bit older and retired from formal duty, he took students under his wing to train. Zella felt a lot of pressure as the teacher's daughter to be the best in class and spent a lot of her waking time training to do just that. Her father was very encouraging of this mindset, and eventually she earned the respect of not just her class, but her entire village.

When her village was given the opportunity to sponsor a student to attend the Officers Academy, Zella was quick to put in her name for consideration. Partially thanks to her reputation as an excellent brawling specialist, and partially due to her father's service to the community, Zella was selected to attend with a full scholarship to the academy. There was only one condition – she was meant to repay them by becoming a knight and giving her village greater standing in the empire. Zella was thrilled at the decision, and is determined not to let Iyersgate down.
