This is why I just do Hard Mode 5. I value consistent outcomes for scoring marathons like Trials, and with Hard Mode 5, a QR2, TA2 Robin one rounds Celica with change left over, and keeps him protected from being hit again afterward, so he and Boey can get started cleaning the rest of the map.

I'll take a consistent 441-422 point reward over a potential 700 point reward that runs the risk of turning into a 300 point reward or into a 0.

yeah hard mode 5 is very easy for me to do with a perfect score so i have just been doing that. i may even consider going beyond 40k to pick up some of the free orbs since they are being so generous with stamina potions. overall this is a huge step up from the last one, i don't feel like i'll be struggling to get all the unique rewards this time and it seems easier too.

that being said, ninian and olivia on celica's map can go die in a fire. they'll pretty much always ruin my perfect survival score >:/

I'm playing nothing but Trials and Arenas until Trials run out. Chain Challenges and Squad Assaults are here to stay so there's no worry about a time limit, it's an easy 15 Hero Merit a run, and the big feather rewards at the end for rankings are desirable.

Used the 21 Stamina Potions I had saved up and gained over the days and got to 63K points, and am in the Top 64. Mist and Boey went from 500 HM from the start to capped HM now, and now Lucius and Bride Caeda are just over 1000 HM. All in all I'm on pace to have gained over 17000 Feathers from Trials alone.

Been sticking to hard 5 as well. Usually beat it with the first team with no trouble, and if not 2nd team full of high 30s always wins too.

Probably will just aim for the 30,000 goal.

I can pretty consistently beat Lunatic-7 for ~600+ points. I've only lost once and the speed & KO changes make it loads easier for me. I already have 18k points...it'd be more, but I just don't feel the need to be as aggressive this time

Decided to pull on the Hone Attack banner because Nino synergizes insanely well with Ike and Sharena, and got 4 Arthurs and 3 more Gunters (6 total now), along with 2 more 4* Bartres. I did get a 4* Nino for my efforts but she's +Res -HP, which is still way better than my +Def -Speed one I had before. My 5* rates are now at 4.25% though so I'm still going to hope for that luck to give me a better Nino that's hopefully +Speed -AnythingButAttack. If not I at least have a usable Nino to fall back on to begin abusing broken Blade tomes.

In the meantime Ike/Sharena/Katarina/Masked Marth has worked wonders in Tempest Trials, been sticking to Lunatic 5 since that's one I can consistently beat, sometimes with my first party. I can beat the 7 round one but that's less safe since I don't have enough teams to fall back on to make up for bad unit setups.

The free stamina potions helps alot to ease the pressure since the first TT and you dont have to run a bonus unit either. May switch to an easier run to farm HM but I like the challenge Lunatic-7 gives me and chain challenges are pretty much the same thing.

Want a good Nino and getting her as a 5* would save feathers so rolled a few greens on the Hone Atk banner. Saw 1 green orb on 3 attempts and got Batre...

I got all the orbs from the trials and used them on the Hone Attack banner in hopes of finally getting a 5* of any kind. Added a 7th Gunter to my collection and on the last pull I got a 3* Nino. Unfortunately not +Speed or even +Attack so I used it to give Katarina Draw Back. Now sitting at 4.5% odds so I'm hoping the game doesn't decide to give me my 5* on the one time no green orbs appear. At this point I'd settle for most decent Greens if not Nino but either way this is not helping me hoard my orbs.

It's honestly a little weird that banners don't remove the 3 & 4 star variants from the pool

It's maddening! At least all the units are cool, but still.

Also is it weird to anyone else that the Slaying weapons are just like...they're literally better than their Killing variants with no other trade off.
Killing Edge+ is 11 might. Slaying Edge+ is 14 might. Both accelerate the special guage by one.

Excited to see anticavalry melee weapons enter the fray. I think they'll be much more useful due to not getting magic penalties...though ironically the best users are probably cavalry.

Part of me wishes I didn't want a Nino because Sonya seems like a potentially fantastic green Mage, but none of these banners make me regret trying for 5* Nino. Just going to wait until they make some of these guys into 4* units later on since I like all of these units. Shame there's no Kliff since I doubt we'll get another SoV banner after these for quite awhile, but these are good choices. But knowing what they did to Tobin chances are he'd end up as another sub-par sword user.

Now we have a Ridersbane and a Zanbato. Only a matter of time until the Poleax/Halberd joins in.

Also lol at them using the Zanbato name for the longsword when Zanbato was only ever used in Sacred Stones, which still only has two units in the game.

Tobin & Faye both get considered Trainees so Gray, Kliff & Atlas probably will as well. And that means they get higher BST for their classes but fairly even stat distribution

I could actually see Kliff getting daggers? His classy outfit is similar to the butler class and hey, he's the other optional villager like Faye who also got a nonsense weapon change.

Completed the new story maps and used them to try and get my 5* so I can be done with that banner and start saving again. Still no luck, my 5* rates are now up to 5% so I guess I can say I'm not that lucky after all. Got a few more Barsts for Reposition, a 6th Cecilia that isn't +Attack -NotSpeed and another 3* Nino that isn't +Speed or +Attack, but otherwise nothing potentially usable. I definitely would've liked to be able to pull for Sonya, but at this rate I think I'm best off saving after I get a 5* on this banner. Surely with a 10% chance to pull a 5* of any sort I won't have to sit here forever right?
