Fire Red/Leaf Green Moveset Rate

Since I know my pokemons movesets are pretty bad,I wanted some suggestions as Im trying to beat the Battle Tower soon. All my pokemon are level 100 if you wanted to know. And every time you see a team rate,I will always have a Skitty in my party. And I wont evolbve it either.

Well,I want to keep the move anyways as I ind it like my Blastoise ShellShocks identity in a way as they are the only ones who learn it.
But woudnt the water moves work well with Msytic Water held by Blastoise. Ive never been an expert with moves and items so Im not sure.

I don't recommend Mystic water.

Yes, it gives you a 10% boost. That's useless when you fight something that resistes water plus you have no reliable healing source.

not to mention the fact that putting 4 attack moves of the same type is pointless.

I suppose that I could give it a berry and then replace Water Pulse with Ice Beam and Rain Dance with Toxic. But I had all those water moves since it would also be boosted with its ability right?

But one of the most important rules in Pokémon is: Don’t give a Pokémon two attacking moves of the same type.

There are very few exceptions to that case, and Blastoise is not one of them. Also, Blastoise needs Leftovers.

Yes, but once again, what are you going to do to things like Ludicolo/Kingdra who 4x Resist water. Or even regular water types who will continue to resist your water attacks.

You can use Toxic to outstall them, why can't usually do that much to you in return.

Exactly.I will change the all water type move set. True,without a good move of another type I could easily be beaten by pokemon that have a type disadvantage.

That is true, but in the case of Blastoise, it won't really matter.
