REALLY need help with Arcanine, I don't have a clue about movesets.
Arcanine is an awesome pokemon and too underestimated IMO. Howl is the best thing you can get...try to set up on a pokemon, which cant do much to it and it will kill the others with ease. Intimidate is way better than Flash Fire.

I think besides the natures, crunch and howl on Arcanine are the only egg moves.
I don't really know what you could replace them with though...

Yawn on Blastoise can help in many ways.
1) The foe's lack of switching gets it sleeping
2) catching the legendaries

Oh, just now I noticed that howl is an egg move...so since you cant get the egg moves you could replace Howl with Leer :/..kinda bad, I know...but sometimes, egg moves are the "core" of a moveset, just like howl on Arcanine...
No rapid spin In game please...and no facad on Pidgeot. Modest+Extreemspeed= doesnt work with Arcanine.

OFF TOPICC: omg nightcat....why are you keep on rating pokemon, with which you dont have experience? It just doesnt help the people if you put "?" beside your move suggestions...Why do you rate, if you're not sure about the moveset? I am nottrying to insult you or something, but lots of people said this to you already, so why you just keep on rating every team no matter if you know about the use of the pokemon or not?

I know, I just like the physical for some reason, plus all the in-game people can be easily pwned by basically anything that's a high enough level with good moves. So it would be much more relevant if this were for maybe link battle with a good person, NB, etc.

(BTW, you get used to typing all the sig stuff and the blue color stuff. I can do it fast now.)

HE (me) is using Gengar as a special sweeper. When I can, I'm going to trade Gengar over to Emerald so I can get Ice Punch on it. I've just realised how much harder it is to build a team without egg moves, which is quite surprising really.

So, is Fire Blast better than Flamethrower on Arcanine, and I know I need to replace Strength, but should it be replaced with Iron Tail?

I'm going to replace Protect with Rest on Blastoise, and then later on when I have a Ditto, I will breed for a female Squirtle and get Yawn on it.

And do I not need Whirlwind on Pidgeot so that it is a PHazer? Otherwise I suppose I could put Roar on Arcanine.

Yes FireBlast is much better than Flamethrower on Arcaine. It hasnt that much SpA for a good Flamethrower. And yes, you should replace Strenght with Iron Tail; it's the best thing it can learn and helps you against Rock types.
Please dont use Nightcat's Arcanine it sucks badly.
