First Chao

This is my first ever chao. Its not amazing but its not bad right? i mean you can still tell its a chao...Advice please. =D

That's really good for a first Chao. Although, the tail looks a little too long and Charizard is supposed to have claws on it's hands and feet. Also, I can't really see any shading on the body, so it looks kind of flat. Keep working on it, but you're off to a great start.

The animations are terrible though >>. The chao doesn't stay in the same place.

thx...for the animations, the first one is an animation called shaky cam...its supposed to shake all crazy like that. like a man holding a camera that has to piss really bad. And the second one is my charizard chao jumping up n down...its not supposed to be sitting. im going to put more up soon. thx for the comments =D

Sorry, but it looks nothing like a Houndour to me. It looks like a black blur.

Just a piece of advice, you should start perfecting your chao way before you try to animate them...

You used the yellow from the flame to add light points to the wings, and some random pixals of yellow are scattered along the sprite

there are blotches of white on the wings which are transparent and bleed through. Bad.

The eyes, teeth and claws are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too dark

the tail is cut off and also the flame is floating

It doesn't have typical chao shading. The lightest shade is in the center and then it gets darker getting closer to the outside.

You only used two main shades. When you should use four

The wings have orange outlines, when all the outlines should be black.

There are corner pixals on the outlines of the wings making them appear jagged and rough.


Also, don't make a thread for every sprite you have.

lol finally some advice. i did use differentcolors forthe shading but there all very similar, its th exact colors on the charizard. The sccatered dots of yellow are actually a baigh color however you spell it. but it looks like yellow i kno. thx forthe advice tho, it helped. =D
