First Pokemon you had ever seen?

The first Pokemon I saw was Mew, And It was a plastic toy in a glass PokeBall. It was nearly EVERYWERE in the mall I was in for some reason and I was like "Wtf is that pink bear around the mall?"XD, I saw a Pikachu poster few minutes after I saw the Mew. And I thought it was a rabbit...

It was in one Magazine that talked about the big phenomenon Pokémon was in Japan. It had many pics of the games. I saw Pinsir, Pikachu, Pidgeotto, Ekans, and probably others...

Mine was a Pikachu. I saw it in the magazine. I said to myself "This Pikachu is a next pet for kids". I read about Ash, matches, pokeballs. Pictures of Misty and Brock were there too.

Mine was the year before Pokemon came to America in 7th grade, but the infamous seizure episode had already been played in Japan. The New York Post had a small section about Pocket Monsters and there was a picture of Pikachu. That was the first time I ever saw a pokemon. A year later, I was watching TV before the bus came for school and the cartoon came on. I believe it was the one with Hypno and the missing children.;026;

First Hoenn Pokemon: This was when I went to a website and first found out about Pkmn Ruby/Sapphire.I saw Kyogre,Groudon,Volbeat,Torchic,and Pelipper all on the same page.

pikachu(duh) it all started one day when i was watching tv.....pokemon came on and when i saw ash & pikachu ash said pikachu's name and i'm all like...."pikachu?...thats a funny name"

I think it was the first episode so it was the Kanto starters, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squrtle. If I remember correctly. Oh my gosh that was like 7 years ago.

Kanto- Uh... it's hard to remember but I'm guessing... Pikachu? On an ad for pokemon R/B where Pika and a whole lot of other pokemon get squished inside a public transport vehicle by one of them impounding things. What I'd give to see that ad again...
Johto- Chikorita, Cydaquil,Totodile, Ho-oh and Lugia. In an ad in one of those crazy Japanese magazines, which would probably give you seizures if you looked at it too long. It was pretty cool. G/S didn't come out for two or three years after that.
Hoenn- Kyogre and Groudon. Hmmm... now where could I have seen those...?
