First Revamp

I never really liked the Advanced sprites for blastoise so I decided to make my first revamp of the yellow version.

Hmmm...
A bit distoriented and outlining is too dark. Shading's alright. I give it, out of A-Z a.. a D.

For a first, it's pretty good. You need to work on redefining and recoloring outlines and shading. The old outlines are primarily black, which doesn't look good. Also, you picked a hard sprite...I suggest an easier sprite, such as Bulbasaur, from an newer version, such as Gold. Hmm...there you go, try that sprite for your next one...a Gold-Version Bulbasaur

Good revamp Anyway i did a revamp using paint drawing outlines etc. and this is the finished revamp of charizard

Kinda horrible but its good for a first try

You can't post your sprites in someone else's threads...that's why you make your own...and I'm sorry, but that's horrible, even for a first try. Read a tutorial, and it should help you.

errrm, for the person right above this, that revamp looks worse then the original...but the thread starter, its quite good. looks a little odd but the coloring is very good

It's not bad. But the outline is a bit bad and more than 2 shades are used for GBA sprites. Spend a bit more time on it and maybe add a bit more detail and you will be there.

Yes, you may think its bad, but i did it on paint! What would you expect from making a revamp on paint?

^^ Spamming. Most spriters work on paint. All my sprites are done on paint, and I am guessing P/Arts was as well. Your sprite is not a revamp it just looks like a distorted r/b sprite. You are breaking rules here.

For advice on revamping please visit the sprite tutorials, I here there is a good one!

It's good, but there seem to be some stray pixels just outside the outlines

It's good for a first try. But the only thing that annoys me is the mouth.
