First self-made Netbattle team. Rate, please

Xtra

You will be missed:(
The first team I made was put together with advice from a GameFAQ's guide. I basically took 6 of their reccomendations and used it to make my own team. But now, using the info I learned from that, as well as other info I learned in my own research, I made my own team from scratch.

Starmie @ Leftovers ** Starlight
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Rapid Spin
- Surf

A fairly basic special sweeper. Rapid Spin was added if my opponent decides to lay some Spikes down.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers ** Eagle
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Roar
- Spikes

Basically it's a Spiker and a Physical Sweeper in one pokemon. HP Ground is there in case he runs into a Magnet Pull Magneton (or some other electric pokemon)

Ampharos (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Light Screen
- Rest
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

My Special tank. With a set like this, it will outlast almost any Special Sweeper.

Aggron (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Counter
- Double-Edge
- Rest
- Substitute

Like Ampharos, it has a set that'll help it outlast any physical sweeper, and even strike back at the opponent.

Celebi @ Focus Band
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 170 Def / 170 Spd / 170 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Calm Mind
- Leech Seed
- Toxic

Celebi uses Leech Seed and/or Toxic on the enemy, so it's kind of an annoyer. Also, it uses Calm Mind to Baton Pass it to Ampharos or Starmie. I wanted to do the same for a move to help the attackers, but couldn't find a move in it's moveset. The Defence/Sp. Defence EV's, as well as Focus Band, are there so it can take a few hits.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 170 Def / 170 Spd / 170 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Rest
- Substitute
- Toxic

Another Toxic-inducing pokemon. Heal Bell will help with status analomies on my party. Rest and Substitute will help it survive. And with Natural Cure, it'll wake up the moment it's pulled out of battle.

Firstly, HP Ground doesn't OHKO Maggy, it's a 2KO (and based on the speed heavy EVs I guess you know that). I ran that set sometime ago, gimping Skarmory's ability to tank in favour of one semi-commoon Pokemon isn't worth it, if you're all that concerned with Maggy stick a Duggy in your team and switch straight to Duggy the turn after you have Skarm out. 90% of the time if your opponent's Skarm counter is Maggy they'll send him out 1st go and walk right into Arena Trap. Even better you could just run a Forry in your team who can actually OHKO Maggy without gimping itself and just add in a new EQ and Flying resist (a defence heavy Zapdos over Amphy would sound about right).

Celebi @ Focus Band
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 170 Def / 170 Spd / 170 SDef

- Toxic

Celebi uses Leech Seed and/or Toxic on the enemy, so it's kind of an annoyer. Also, it uses Calm Mind to Baton Pass it to Ampharos or Starmie. First things first, Annoyers Ph@3l. Secondly, Hax sucks, adding more hax sucks even more, Focus Band blows. You may think annoyers are great n' all but I find being swept by a Calm Mind Celebi (or something it BPs to) a hell of alot more annoying than Toxic-Seed which can be blocked by a simple Sub. Celebi has SOO many versitile possibilities but you truly have garnered quite psosible the worst possibility.

After seeing Celebi in this team though I am even more convinced that Zappy would make a perfect fit over Amphy, since a Calm Minded Zappy rips through teams with ease once you get Snorlax outta the way.

So, change your Celebi to:
Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 120 Def / 148 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psychic / Hidden Power [Grass]
- Calm Mind
- Recover / Substitute
- Baton Pass
HP Grass could go over Psychic to avoid (risking) being swept by DD Tar on the BP (Zappy no like DDed Rock Slide) and as a side note, if you run Sub Max HP with 252 HP Evs for 101 Subs.

And run Zapdos over Amphy. Thunderbolt/HP Ice (and yes Ice > Grass unless you wanna be walled by Grass types, Celebi can coutner Swampert anyway and Swampert aint touching Zappy with Ice beam after a Calm Mind) and a combo of rest/Sleep Talk (good for not being beat by Blissey) or some other mysterious choice, Zappy's got a very lovely movepol and it'd be wise to take advantage of it.

---------------------------------

Edit: Ok I looked over the rest of your team, time for a thorough overhaul.

Starmie @ Leftovers ** Starlight
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt / Rapid Spin / Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt / Rapid Spin / Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

A fairly basic special sweeper. Rapid Spin was added if my opponent decides to lay some Spikes down.
Alot of people will tell you to run Timid and some speed spread that gives you 352, I'm indifferent since Max Speed Modest can work just fine if you keep this guy away from gar.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers ** Eagle
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Roar
- Spikes

Basically it's a Spiker and a Physical Sweeper in one pokemon. HP Ground is there in case he runs into a Magnet Pull Magneton (or some other electric pokemon)
See above

Ampharos (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Light Screen
- Rest
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

My Special tank. With a set like this, it will outlast almost any Special Sweeper.
Replace with Zappy. And for the record, your special wall SHOULD be Blissey.

Aggron (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Counter
- Double-Edge
- Rest
- Substitute

Like Ampharos, it has a set that'll help it outlast any physical sweeper, and even strike back at the opponent.
No, you won't outlast physical sweepers while your sleeping, because almost every physical sweeper in OU has EQ, and EQ kills Aggron. And Sub-Counter = wth?

Smogon: Read, learn, love.

Explained earlier.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Rest
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic / Thunder Wave / Ice Beam

Another Toxic-inducing pokemon. Heal Bell will help with status analomies on my party. Rest and Substitute will help it survive. And with Natural Cure, it'll wake up the moment it's pulled out of battle.
Rest on Blissey sucks, Sub on Blissey sucks. This Blissey may be able to wall Special Sweepers but that's all it can do with this set. Blissey NEEDS Seismic Toss, unelss you happen to enjoy being swept by Calm Mind-Sub Raikou. While I'm not a fan of Toxic in the present Metagame where Blissey use has been severely reduced it "can" work but I still say Ice beam (or even something like Fire Blast, let's see a Metagross wanna switch into Blissey after sucking up one of those) or TWave would be miles better.

For the record, world's worst EVs.

Spectre

I'm the Juggernaut!
Willow basically got the whole thing, so I'm just gonna say you need a Physical Sweeper in place of Aggron, like Metagross or Mence. Also, a PHazer might be needed too.

Recover > Psychic on Starmie

Rest on Skarm over HP: Ground. It works out with Bliss's Aroma.

aipomkong

prophecy fulfilled
i think i missed the part where celebi and blissey were useful and weren't ****ed by one substitute
