Fishing Help?

Is there any advice one can give for fishing? I don't get the new system. When it says I have a bite I keep pressing a and I get nothing. It only says bite for less than a second also.

when it says that press A once then it might say agen just keep pressing A when it does then soon you will go into battle.

just wait until it says its a bite........sometimes it will keep on every time you see it press a eventually a pokemon will appear

by the way, the amount of time you have to press a is longer on the old rod and shorter on the super rod so you'll need better reflexes to catche those rare ones.
