Flames of Azure: How Painful They Are (OU)

Celebi can only block it if it gets enough CMs in time, which is unlikely. Skarmory withstands weaker Fire attacks, but there's absolutely no sense in letting it sponge Fire attacks =/ Metagross can EQ them if it has an Agility, but I'm not usually that lucky. Claydol can stand them, but Fire Types don't just have Fire moves. Raikou can withstand them with CMs, but generally, Fire Types will still trounce it, because they have other equally-effective moves.

Blissey walls them like nothing, but what I'm more worried about are things like Blaziken, Arcanine, and Charizard, who are Physical but use Fire Types. Pokémon like those can tear my Team apart fairly easily. I get lucky sometimes, and can beat them if one of my Pokémon survives, but after that, I've lost 2-5 Pokémon, meaning I lose anyhow =/ So, help me with my Fire weak.

Celebi & Leftovers ** Onion-thing
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 152 Def / 20 Spd / 44 SAtk / 52 SDef
Nature: Bold
~ Calm Mind
~ Hidden Power [Grass]
~ Psychic
~ Recover

Basic CMCelery. I don't see a point in BP, as only Raikou would benefit from it, and it already has CM, and it's easier to rely on Raikou alone than Celebi Passing to it. Metagross's Thunderpunch could get a boost from a CMPass, but that's not a good enough reason to slap BP on this thing.

Claydol & Leftovers ** Elderly Toy
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 236 HP / 128 Atk / 108 Def / 36 SDef
Nature: Impish
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Reflect
- Toxic

Though it's helped me a fair few times, I wouldn't be all that adverse to dropping Claydol, as it doesn't really do much other than mess around with the opponent(a little). With proper prediction, this thing switches into Snorlax very nicely, but Skarmory can do that too(without prediction, even).

Metagross & Leftovers ** 4 Legged Freak
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Def / 92 Spd / 136 SAtk
Nature: Naughty
~ Agility
~ Earthquake
~ Meteor Mash
~ Thunderpunch

Celebi counter, pure and simple. That's originally why I put it on my Team, but it's been extremely helpful beyond blocking Celebis.

Skarmory (M) & Leftovers ** The Silver Swan
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Atk / 212 Def / 20 Spd
Nature: Impish
~ Hidden Power [Flying]
~ Rest
~ Spikes
~ Whirlwind

Again, I wouldn't mind dropping Skarmory. It's bleeding useful to switch into so many things, but when it's in, it doesn't do very much.

Blissey (F) & Leftovers ** Scrambled Eggz
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 SDef
Nature: Bold
~ Aromatherapy
~ Ice Beam
~ Seismic Toss
~ Softboiled

Blissey. Outdated, almost, but still useful for a great many things. Since its abundance is dropping by the day, so are its counters, which make it easier for me to use it. Thunder Wave could go nicely on Blissey somewhere, but I'm happy with what I've got as well.

Raikou & Leftovers ** Cumulonimbus
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 124 HP / 220 Spd / 164 SAtk
Nature: Timid
~ Calm Mind
~ Hidden Power [Ice]
~ Substitute
~ Thunderbolt

I prefer this to Suicune. Takes Special hits pretty well and deals back massive damage. Pseudo-BoltBeam takes care of just about everything, because no one uses Shedinja and Lanturn, and Magneton never comes in on Raikou.

I dunno what to do about my Fire weak. Something with Flash Fire could help, but a Blaziken would just laugh at a Houndoom walling it =/

Explosion helps finish off, but meh.

If you don't rely on Spikes too much, think about Steelix. Switches in nicely and stalls a lot of things.

I use Counter Bliss, works great. This is the standard, but think about Counter. Surpirses a lot of people and wins games.

Raikou & Leftovers ** Cumulonimbus

Nature: Timid

Not an EV guy (see 0ma for that), so evs idk. I cannot also see team weaknesses well, but the movests I can do ;D

OK I guess, I wouldn't lead with it though.

Steelix is an option if you don't want to use this.

Like chaos952 said, the standard mixpert could tear this team apart. Arcanine and charizard are really rare. You shouldn't have blaiken problems with claydol imo takes it nicely. I'd be worried about double trapping with magtro, but whatever.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I mean =/ It doesn't even have to be a Fire Type. Any Physical Pokémon with a Fire attack will sweep through this team laughing all the way.

Alright, Steelix then. Used it once and liked it. And I should use Roar, I assume, seeing as Skarmory was my PHazer.

MA: I don't find Ice Beam all that helpful on Claydol, tbh.

I usually have Metagross or Raikou ending the game for me, so I'm not sure about blowing it up. It could be useful over Thunderpunch, but it saves me a lot of trouble when a Skarm at half health Roars in Metagross, because it can just Thunderpunch and surprise them for the KO. Also takes cares of things Earthquake and Mash can't, namely damaged Water Types.

HP Grass could work. HP Ice gets rid of Salamence and all, but after a CM or two, Thunderbolt does that anyhow. But I do have Celebi, so.....Meh.

Toy: I've used Mence before, and I like it. It's not quite as durable as Metagross, but it helps me with my Fire weak and blocks Celebi just as well, if not better.

Tazzler: Oh, that's odd. It should be 96 =/

I could lead with Mence or Raikou, I suppose.

OK then, EVs into Sp. Attack.
