Flamethrowing Vaporeon?

My friend, who thinks he knows pokemon a lot more than me. Says if you try to evolve an eevee with a stone then stop it, it will still learn the moves of the pokemon you tried to evolve it into. Is it true or just a load of BS?

Complete bs.Its an EEVEE it will learn EEVEE atacks. I should know. is stopped my eevee's evolution to a flareon cause its easier to train eevee's and when it turned to lv 99 i evolved it to vaporeon.

Sim's right you can't. I tried to use thunderstone on evee but I got bumped by my sister so I used water and I couldn't stop it.
