Flygon Explanation?

Hello Pokemon Fans,

I had a quick question. Why can't Flygon learn brick break?

I wanted to teach my Flygon

Rock Slide
Brick Break
Earthquake

But i just realized he can't learn it. Can someone please Explain

He works better as a physical sweeper than a special sweeper...so naturally he would know that move right? Its a strong fighting move.

Yes, but thin crust pizza's barely even have a crust, and they're still considered pizzas. Flygon can learn Fly, would that be good enough? But i suppose not being able to learn Brick Break either is still a shame. Aerial Ace, well yes it can fly(oh yeah, FLYgon, dur.. [rolleyes]) that is why it can learn Aerial Ace. This is sortof like how Salamence can learn Hydro Pump, but not Water Pulse.

Maybe because Flygon cant really fly that fast to be able to pull off aerial ace? This is a good question. Goddamned game mechanics! I shall brutally injure you with this... er... random blunt object!!

Bah, Aerial Ace and especially Brick Break are crappy attacks when they're unSTABed, so don't worry about Flygon not learning them. Flygon don't need no stinkin' Brick Break.

Why didn't Lickitung learn Lick until later on?

It's just simple, certain Pokemon just learn certain moves. It can be flawed at times.

^ With Fire Blast and Rock Slide there's no need at all for Brick Break.

I think it's just those errors programers make or just things to make the pokemon stand out.

yeah, with a 100 base speed, Flygon's really slow.

you also don't need to fly to know Aerial Ace as well, Dugtrio can learn it just fine.

Yeah, i put a question mark at the end of that sentence for a reason, a very dumb hypothesis. But a guess none the less. Very stupid as i am aware that just about all flying pokemon have great speed.

Awkward how that works out. It seems more like the Flying version of Slash, as they both have the same base attack of 60.

why do people want brick break on flygon?
With rock slide and fire blast, you beat the same things+more that brick break would beat, including it's 4x weakness to dragon!
And rock slide has the same power, and fire blast has much more!

Simple, because Gamefreak thought "Salamence isn't superior enough!"

Oh well, it's like nightcat said, as much as I like Flygon it doesn't really need Brick Break or Aerial Ace. Flygon is already a pretty versatile Pokemon when it comes to its movepool. Still, Brick Break and Aerial Ace make a lot of sense on Flygon... Strange, Flygon learns a wide variety of moves and it can't learn some of the msot common ones, even though they made perfect sense...

If we're talking about sense, then it's dumb and doesn't make any sense why it can't learn those two moves.
But if we're talking about good moves for it/winning with it, then it doesn't matter.
