Flying Pikachu can Finally be Caught!

In the article bg news, bigger party page 4, they unveiled something changed in the top twenty Pokemon. Pikachu will be Flying Pikachu at the final stop!

Also, the Pikachu baloon used at the Macey's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be there.

Is this in one of the new games? As there already is a Flying Pikachu card, I have it. I'd sure like one though.

No, it's a Pikachu with Fly. XD They've been given out before, but I'm not sure if they have for 3rd Gen yet or not.

Meh, I won't be going, so this doesn't affect me. Unless someone I know is going, and in that case I can beg them to clone one for me... >D

Flying Pikachu was given out in Japan for the original Red and Green, before they were released to the rest of the world.

No. If it had an alternate sprite, rippers would have discovered it already. It's just going to be a normal Pikachu with the move Fly.

It had to happen sometime. When Surfing Pikachu became available, Flying Pikachu became inevitable. I bet its animation in XD will be floating up on balloons, then letting go and dropping on top of the Pokemon.

Meh. Not all that interesting. Not to mention, it's still not "caught." It's GIVEN to you, just like Mew and Celebi.

What does interest me is the unveiling of a supposedly new to the US Pokemon. They've pretty much already revealed Manyula and Manene, so we may see something with the others (not including Lucario, Gonbe or Usohachi).

No. It just knows the attack Fly. Just like the Surfing Pikachu simply knows the attack Surf. The sprite animations would be the same in the GBA games and would most likely be the same as an ordinary Fly attack in Colosseum/XD.
