I'll discuss whatever flavour flying type I like:

I rather like Ledian - in fact he's my favourite flying type, and 2nd generation, too. After all it was the best one~

imo its sad that flying is always a secondary type. But maybe that's what makes it special~

I think flying types were very idiodically portrayed in the games. How in the heck is Gyarados water-flying? And why are all the birds normal-flying or dragon-flying? It's very stupid >_>

I don't like Pidgey but I love Pidgey and Pidgeotto. Also, they should fix the games so the Normal/Flying Pokemon ARE flying.

Fearow has actually become a favorite one of mine over the years. I don't know what it is, I just think it looks awsome. It's quite capable of holding it's own in battle as well.

I think flying types were very idiodically portrayed in the games. How in the heck is Gyarados water-flying? And why are all the birds normal-flying or dragon-flying? It's very stupid >_>

Gyarados is Water/Flying thanks to a Japanese myth of a carp who climbs a waterfall and is rewarded by the Gods, who turn the carp into a flying serpent. If you would like me to add anything else to that or you have any further questions, then fire away. I'll naturally answer them as a mythology freak... and cause Gyarados is my 6th favourite Pokemon overall. ;B

Throwing in some love for Zapdos. Oh quit your whinging that he's Legendary, I adore the unique typing.

WRONG!

1) If the carp did become a Dragon, Gyarados would have been Water/Dragon. The myth has always stated that said carp became a flying serpent, so voila! A Water/Flying Gyarados to stay as true to the myth as possible.
2) Dragons in China and Japan tend to have short legs. I cannot see any on Gyarados.

There are no pure Flying types due to Feather Rest.
Though they could just make a Flying type that can't learn Feather Rest. (ie Gyarados)

I Think its Funny that someone Has Yet to Find Vycksta explaining The Gyrados Legend yet! She Says it at least once a day!

A misconception. He's actually not that strong; no Drill Peck, and that's the ultimate move for a Flying type.
