Focus Energy?

Well im currently replaying through emerald with a nice set of breeded pokemon, I was training my fourth pokemon(bagon) and he was trying to learn focus energy,i decided not to give it to him since he has dragon dance.
I was wondering if u guys use focus energy or do u prefer the stat boosting moves?

I think that these two moves are pretty good, but I think that Dragon Dance is better than Focus Energy because of:
1. When you use Focus Energy, it isn't 100% sure that your hit will be critical.
2. Dragon Dance is better because it raises both Attack and Speed, here nothing has to do with luck.

I don't really use moves like Focus Energy, because it's not a gaurantee that your move will be a critical hit, plus it's only for one move. Nah, I prefer moves like Dragon Dance, or even Leer type moves. I prefer these because they last the entire battle, plus you can keep using it to increase the amount of its effect. That way, using it once is never a waste of a move.

with 2 turns you get you speed and attack doubled that is better than the risky FocusE

Focus Energy fails. Even with the off-chance that you'll get a CH, it still won't do as much as one or two DDs will. And also, DD doesn't only raise the power of your moves. It raises Speed, too, which helps pretty much everything.

Plus, FE doesn't always take effect, it just raises your chances. As long as you choose to use DD, you're guaranteed to get that boost =/
