Hey guys,I was wondering for those of you who have a Porygon,it dosent matter what version you have(I have leafgreen) how did you collect the coins as we now its costs 6,500 coins in LG and 9,999 in FR.Btw any cheats/hints would be helpful.

I ain't witty, so no
Easy. Get a ton of Pokedollars, and go into the game corner. Talk to the lady at the counter(I forget which one) and repeatedly buy coins until you have enough. Well, it's the most expensive way, but it's the quickest...

Beat the Elite 4 over and over. Works for me! Any trainer will work perfectly, but make sure your leading Pokemon holds the Amulet Coin!

Hello...
By using the Vs. Seeker, I fought those two ladies on Island 5 at that resort (I've forgotten the name of it) over and over again while holding the Amulet Coin. It's easy money.

BEWARE THE FOSSILS!!
If you use the itemfinder in the game corner there are some coins hidden on the floor in sets of 10, 20, 40 and 100. Not enough for a porygon but it saves some money. Other than that, get tons of pokedollars by fighting the 2 ladies at resort gorgeous with a pokemon holding an amulet coin. With an amulet coin one will give you 20,000, the other 19,800. Thats the quickest way to make money to buy the coins.

In my Fire Red version I haven't got enough coins currently to purchase a Porygon but I would have if I'd saved them. The slots are easy. Just wager 3 coins every time and try and get the three 7's which pays the most. It's surprisingly easy.

Good Night!
In FireRed I just beat the elite four once with my strongest pokemon holding an amulet coin and after that i just went to the game corner and exhanged my pokedollars for coins.

Also sometimes when you capture Staryu, they're holding Stardust which can be sold at the same price as a nugget.

BTW where do you get the Amulet Coin?

I believe there's a single machine that isn't fixed as badly as the others, making it possible to line up the 7s more easily. This is how I got my shiny Porygon (well, not the shiny part; that took patience! XD). I suppose the "lucky" machine is randomly determined by trainer/hidden ID. I found mine early on, so I didn't have to buy many (if any at all; I can't remember.. o.o) coins. (In Sapphire, I have to buy coins for Psychic TMs. I can't seem to win at those ones...)

Yeah there's really no tactic for 6,500 coins is a lot and 9,999 coins is stupid. The only thing you can do is patiently (while trying not to cry) spend every last bit of money you have on coins. After you're out, go to the Elite Four and gain only a little bit of money back, but make sure you use the Amulet Coin. Then go back and spend it all again and repeat the cycle. Just make sure you collect all the coins you can from the people and slots before you do this. Also, use the Itemfinder to find plenty of coins lying on the floor of the Game Corner.
