Forum pip questions.

Sorry if this isn't allowed but I have a question about forum pips ( the pics that appear underneath your user name. mine is LT surge)

Anyway, i made some for my foeum but the images just appeared as a white square with a red cross. Is it just my computer or did I do it wrong? Are there any sizes or other issues that are required?

also, how do you make ones for Mods, Admins and stuff like that where they aren't based on post count?

What host are you using? Wait, I dunno what invisionplus is, but does it handle in the same way as invisionfree? If it does, I could help you out. I do have pips and mod unique things.

Anyway, this is how I do it on IF:-
Log in to Admin CP
Users and groups -> Member titles/Ranks
Upload a pip/mod/admin image. (presuming you are uploading a mod image...)
Users and groups -> User Groups
Moderators (presuming you have a moderator group) -> Edit this group.
Group Icon -> select the mod image you just uploaded.
Complete edit.

I hope I explained that enough.

Thanks but for some reason the pictures don't show up. Do you need them to be a certain size? and do you post the img tags like on this forum to show pictures or the actual file?

Sorry if i sound like a noob.

Also, do you know of anywhere were I can find tutorials for those and stuff like skins and general forum stuff?

A red cross means that the images don't exist at the location they are supposed to be coming from. Like suppose an image is at http://www.site.com/images/a.gif and you are trying to link the image from http://www.site.com/a.gif. On an invision board, this results in a white square with a red cross. Fiddle with the image locations until they work.

You can't do that because it only allows you to upload it and then select it. =/
No URLs. The main reason that will have happened could because you deleted it.

EDIT: No wonder it isn't working - what kind of URL is this?!

Code:
http://www.invisionplus.net/forums/html/team_icons/[IMG]http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j179/nashie1/Staffpip.png
You're meant to upload it on your forum host, on the pip page. Not photobucket.

Mmm. On my board, it says something like "Pips must be in images/pips folder." So I put it in http:// www. website. com/images/pips/image.jpg (Spaces are just there to remove automatic URL tags).
