• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

Can somebody tell me how to post sprites/images now?? Also little unrelated but does anybody now how to put a custom avatar??

Images work the same way as they used to, and you can't use custom avatars.

No it doesn't, there's no more button that wraps images with the IMG200 thing.

I don't have many problems with the new upgrade, as I never use a mobile device to get on the forums.
I do miss the skins, though. I will be eagerly awaiting when they are finished!
Also, I can't get the forums to "Remember Me," when the old version always did. I almost forgot my password, I hadn't actually logged in for so long!

Well there is because I just used it... besides which, you can just type the tag yourself...

That would be it, yes. Then you copy-paste the url to the picture into that, click okay, and voila! You might still be able to paste the link, hyliht it, and bypass pasting the link into the popup, but it's still there and works.

Well then now I'm confused :(. I tried that and it said the file was too large or something, I was trying to post those moving pokemon sprites. However my friend who showed me the link has done it and nothing came up for him.

Yep, that works. Here, copy this link and paste it. If you cannot get it to open, then it's a problem on your account. If it does, then it's a picture file problem. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.ne...1530576162830_1787535681_936659_3430731_n.jpg

Also, it will obly accept certain file types, GIF JPEG JPG PNG so if it's not one of those four then it won't accept it either.

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/?gen=1&, That's the website, every time I try and post one of the sprites it won't work?? Can you try one of the sprites, preferably the Pikachu one??

That one works too, so try copy-pasting the link I provided into the insert image pop up. If that works, try the Pikachu sprite next. Let's make sure that you can post the same pictures I can, otherwise it looks like I'm spamming Srrebii's help thread.

@1rkhachatryan
I would recommend that when you click on "Insert Image", you click "From URL", and then uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"

Copy that without the *

The pic you gave me works, but again the sprite just said remote file too large.

There is no box for me to uncheck when I get to that part. It just says remote file too large.

Did you try typing in the code I game you, minus the *?

And what you should be seeing when you click the button is the 2 tabs "From Computer" and "From URL". When you click on the "From URL" tab, you should be seeing:

HTML:
Add an Image from Url
Allowed Filetypes: jpg, jpeg, png, gif

URL
{Text box}

{Check-marked box} Retrieve remote file and reference locally

If you're not seeing that, then I don't know what to tell you. If you are, then simply make sure that the box next to "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" is not checked in, and then paste your URL and press OK. Should work for you.

Yes I did, however it was just a link and didn't show a sprite.

This is what is in the box for me:

Add an Image from Url
Allowed Filetypes: jpg, jpeg, png, gif
URL

Hm, then I am not sure what the problem is.

EDIT: I just typed in [*img] and [/img] and put the URL and it worked for me, maybe you'll just have to do that from now on, if that works at all. Sorry I can't help you more.

Unless the image is insanely huge or something I don't see why it wouldn't be working. Could you provide some screen-shots?

Is it like a google chrome issue or something?? Although I tried it on firefox and still nothing.

When I put the link in the url box, I say ok and it says error, remote file too large.
