That Mirror Game half-reminded me of a super-old fanfic where Ash's twin brother [I think his name's Zak] comes and Misty finds herself attracted to the both of them: Ash because of all that they've been through and their friendship and whatnot; Zak because he swept Misty off her feet and is everything she really wanted in a guy. In the end, she chose Ash. Of course. ^^
