FR/LG Manga & Animé Team Challenge 2005-2006

- You play through either Fire Red or Leaf using Pokemon of only the Pokémon of a manga or animé character's team.

- If the character has more than six Pokémon you may choose any of the six.

- If the character has less than six Pokémon you may only use that many.

- You may not use your starter unless it is that characters team.

- One set of TM's only.

- You may have one HM Slave at a time.

- You may trade over Pokémon that are un-obtainable in that game.

- You may trade for evolution.

- Your Pokémon's levels may exceed the character's Pokémon's levels.

- After you pass certain events or feel the need to update, you reply to the topic with details on how your progress is going, the status of your team, how hard it is, etc.

- If a character has an unevolved Pokémon, e.g May's Bulbasaur, you may not evolve that Pokémon.

- The challenge is considered complete upon the completion of all the Island Quests (excluding catching Unown) and re-defeating the Elite Four.

- You may use Move Tutors/HM's/TM's on any Pokémon.

- You may be minor characters such as Grant.

- Blue & Green's names must be reversed. I'm English and that makes sense to me. Green = Female. Blue = Male.

- Manga and Animé character bios can be found on Serebii.

I'm doing a Yellow manga team. I'll update you on the situation soon.

Sounds like fun. Too bad that I can´t restart my games yet... I could only restart LG.
I´m thinking of being blue, I mean green when reversed, but... SHE HAS DITTO. O_O *Kills the Ditto.* Sorry Blue go get some better Pokémon. that shouldn´t be too hard. *Hands over a Weedle*

Erm, maybe I´ll be Red. Agh, I´m not sure will I restart my LG, but if I do, I´ll be Red and make sure to inform my progress.

I would be Blane, but... He has only three fire Pokémons. Beating the league with those is just... Impossible... Hmm... That would at least be a challenge. Hey, but if some characer appears both in manga and in anime, are we allowed to pick Pokémons from both?

Can you be crystal since she has caught nearly everything it would seem a bit unfair.
Can you traid with friends to get the pokemon sooner even if obtainable in game?

I will do green from manga.

- Yes, but this is for people who only have LeafGreen/FireRed. And doing the Kanto characters is easier.

- Hey, but if some characer appears both in manga and in anime, are we allowed to pick Pokémons from both?
- No. Manga or animé. Not both. e.g Lance appears in both, but has much better Pokémon in the manga.

- Can you be crystal since she has caught nearly everything it would seem a bit unfair?
- You can be Crystal, but you can only have the Pokémon that she actually uses a squad members.

- Can you trade with friends to get the pokemon sooner even if obtainable in game?
- No. Trades are only acceptable if the Pokémon is unobtainable or a Johto/Hoenn Pokémon, that is in the character's squad.

- Chose Charmander
- Beat Lance
- Did Oak's Parcel bit
- Captured Ratty (released Charmander)
- Went to Viridian Forest
- Captured Chuchu
- Captured Kitty
- Leveled everyone up to level 18
- Took down Brock
- Went into Mt. Moon
- Captured Gravvy
- Recieved Helix Fossil
- Leveled to level 25
- Beat Misty
- Beat Lance and Nugget Bridge
- Skip a few things
- Beat Silph Co. Rocket Hideout
- Beat Snorlax
- Entered Fuschia
- Captured Dody
- Squad is at level 41

Couldn't be bothered to type it all so far. I'll update with attacks later.

Sounds cool, I think I'll try Sissy in my LG which is weird cuz I'm a guy, but she has a blastoise and I want one wicked bad. I just have to trade ALL OF MY CURRENT LG POKEMON TO MY EMERALD. Jeez, that will take a while.

EDIT:
I did it! I traded them all over!

Status so far:
-Named character Sissy.
-recieved squirtle
-defeated brock
-evolved squirtle to wartortle on the route to the right of pewter city

and thats about it.

I considered doing Richie, but I've decided on Drake from the anime, because all his Pokemon are more easily obtainable in Fire Red. Now to trade all my keepers onto Emerald before I start... >.>

Progress report! Started with a guy trainer named Drake, gave my rival an ambiguously offensive name(let's just say his full name is Richard), because he so deserves it. Picked Bulbasaur, beat "Gary", delivered Oak's package(*snerk*), hit up my rival for some more cash on Viridian's side route, swept the forest, trampled Brock, evolved, and rocked up and down the next route and on the first floor of Mt. Moon. Next time: Team Rocket's first punishment, and taking over Cerulean City!
