Sorry to bother everyone but I really need some help. I have an empty spot in my team but I don't know what to do. My Pokemon are as follows:
*Charmeleon
*Geodude
*Pikachu
*Lapras
*Abra
As you can see I have a fire, rock/ground, electric, water and psychic. I was wondering what other type I should get, or if I should have 2 of the same type. Grass isn't that useful and I can't think of any grass Pokemon in FR that are that good. Maybe a fighting Pokemon would be good, like Machop. But fighting aren't good against many things. Maybe I should have a Pokemon to just throw all my HMs on.
As you can see I'm pretty lost. Any advice would be great.

If I was you, I'd choose either a Snorlax (if youre far enough in the game to catch it) or a machop if you can make it a machamp. Machamps rock in FrLg. Heck, you could even go for a gengar...

Oh I will evolve them, it's just what I have at the moment that's all. Thanks for the tips Dark Force, I'll definately look into those 3 Pokemon you mentioned.

Lapras is a nice choice for water-pokemon, no need to switch it. Great against electric/ground pokemon. Have it learn ice beam so you don't need to worry about dragons as well.

Abra/Kadabra will do fine and if possible, Alakazam would be great. Great against poison/fighting pokemon.

Get Machoke (again, Machamp, if possible to trade). Great against ground/steel/dark pokemon.

I would also switch Pikachu (it'll do fine until you can get better electric pokemon, though) for Jolteon. You don't need Vaporeon because you have Lapras or Flareon because you got Charmeleon already. Great against flying/water pokemon.

If you're not satisfied with Charizard, though, you can always get Growlithe / Arcanine. If possible, get Houndour so you can put up a fight against grass, ghost and psychic pokemon.

Also, get either Golem (latest evolution of Geodude, involves trading, just like getting Alakazam or Machamp) or Rhydon for ground/rock pokemon. Good against electric/fire pokemon.

With this team, you should manage fine against most types.

Yes I am able to trade Machoke, Kadabra and Graveller to evolve them. I think I'm going to fill the empty spot with Machamp. Thanks for the help everyone.

Tyranitar, Heracross or Snorlax wold be a good option. They are all good Physical attackers,you need one since you only have a physical wall Geodude.
Pikachu isn't very good,it will die to any power hit.Replace with Jolteon.
If you don't want anything mentioned above,you can always have a Pick up Meowth to get some extra berries.

Add a Snorlax, or a Haunter in there. Don't use the Pikachu use a Jolteon if you can, or an Electabuzz if you can find one. Magneton and a Dragonair/Dragonite would be good also. That is a pretty good team so far though. Maybe your team will be this in the near future:

Charizard
Golem
Electabuzz
Lapras
Alakazam
Snorlax

Yeah, Snorlax is looking good right now :D Actually 1 quick question. Practically everybody so far has said not to use Raichu/Pikachu. Can I ask why? I mean, Jolteon doesn't even learn Thunderbolt. I like the moves Pikachu learns and then when I evolve it to Raichu it should be better. I really just wanna know why everybody loves Jolteon.

jolteon has better speed and, iirc, slightly better defenses and hp. T-bolt is only learnable via tm annoyingly though.
