Fractured Fairytale (poem)

Gardevoir Girl

is NOT a girl
Depressing and probably very bad. About depression (duh) and my growing androphobia/hatred. About the title, it just seemed to keep repeating itself in the poem, so that's why it's the title.

Fractured Fairytale

Listen to my voice
Hear my cries
Piece the words together
Of my fractured fairytale.

So short a time
Fleeting happiness
Now broken and crushed underfoot.
I sit in the dark
Reliving the days
Clutching fragments of memory
Remembering
Years ago
When I longed for a loving husband
Two children
A boy and a girl
As so many girls long for in their youth.

But now I sit broken
Shattered by the one I wanted to love
Begging for death
My son lost
My daughter unborn
My true love rejecting me.

This is my fractured fairytale.
Hear my heart beating
Throbbing with loneliness
Aching for a happy ending
That will never come.

Images pass before me
Things I will never have
Two happy children
White wedding dress
Midnight kisses
Undying love
Family.

I sit and cry
Dreaming of what I have lost
What was snatched from my grasp.
Tears glitter and fall
Darkening the ground
My sorrow twists
Condenses into rage.
Hear my screams
Hear my fractured fairytale.

Sharp knife
Eyes full of fire.
With fists and steel
Striking at every man in reach
Driving the blade of hatred into their chests
Feeling blood flow but wanting more
Wanting his.

Now snarling
Clothes torn and bloody
I run
Hearing the pounding of my feet
Spell out the rhythm
Of my fractured fairytale.
Run for safety
For silence
Run from men
Run from the source of fear and hatred.

Crawl into a corner
Raise the knife
Watch blood drip from cold steel
Close my eyes
Think of my daughter
Never to be born
I take a deep breath
I thrust the blade into my heart.

Choking out blood
Feeling my life ebbing away
I cry for all I have lost
And slip away
From my fractured fairytale.

Demonic Apparation
I like this. It's deffinitly got your trademark abstractness (thats a good thing, by the way).
