I would like to add this free hosting site, which in my opinion, is quite remarkable.

http://www.byethost.com

Good points: A choice of 4 free hosting plans.

1) 20+ GB Traffic per month, 250+ MB web space, 2 MySQL databases, 20 sub domains
2) 20+ GB Traffic, 150+ MB web space, 10 MySQL databases, 20 sub domains
3) 30+ GB Traffic, 100+ MB web space, 2 SQL databases, 20 sub domains.
4) 20+ GB Traffic, 150+ MB web space, 2 MySQL databases, unlimited sub domains.

New: they are an advertisement free host now (they ask, but do not insist that you place their advert on your pages to cover the cost of free hosting); no obligations, but a possibility of upgrading to a paid account; hardly any server down-time (I host a page with them, visit every day for a few hours, and I have never seen a "Not available" page); fast loading, easy user-friendly cpannel and upload manager and good customer support (even if you aren't a customer). They have a forum (http://byet.net) but forum posting is NOT required. It's easy to get some help there though.

The byethost folks appear to be PHP fanatics, and it's pretty much the only web technology supported (compiled CGI binaries/Perl/Python support is not present, but PHP is probably the best language for any web programming you might need to do). SSH and other great stuff are coming soon, apparently.

Oh, and they're making loads of changes to their hosting service right now, so it's really cool to get some well-deserved features (advanced cpanel, automatic script installation, DNS management interfaces, etc).

Bad points: None that I am aware of.

Also, there is only a small advertisement at the top of the page; no obligations, but a possibility of upgrading to a paid account; hardly any server down-time (I host a page with them, visit every day for a few hours, and I haven't seen a "Not available" page in 9 months); fast loading, easy user-friendly cpannel and good customer support (even if you aren't a customer).

Bad points: Annoying "www.name.byethost.com" domain name, "sticky" Java-based file manager, maximum individual file size of 2 MB (*gasp*). Oh, and chat is forbidden (but not forums). Another bad thing is the apparent terrible misspelling of the word "bytehost" (byte+host). But no. It had to be BYETHOST. Sorta difficult to remember. Ah, well... it's free...

Something to bear in mind is that they will ALMOST CERTAINLY invalidate your registration attempt if you do not proivde a detailed description of what you plan on doing with your web space. Saying: "An anime page" will result in a "Sorry, your description needs to be more detailed" e-mail. And then it takes a very long time to convince them that you really intend to host an anime web page.

Don't you think it's a little dumb to have err, Ads? They usaully ruin the site... believe me. -__-

Still, I migfht try it.

Well, the advert is a 350x30 box at the top of the page. No pop-ups. Just the box. It doesn't ruin my site, and it certainly beats paying for one, but if you can throw $10 away a year or something, fine by me. I'm just suggesting a fine site in terms of storage space and bandwidth. The second package contains 10 SQL databases! That's superb if you're making PHP scripts and accompanying them with a forum.

I gave ALL the bad points I could find, so you wouldn't be surprised by something. The ad is immaterial in my opinion.

This is a newly created image hosting site by one of my friends. It is fast and very easy to use. It supports jpg, gif, png, bmp and tiff file extensions. Try it out yourselves ^.^ If you have any queries or suggestion, let me know and I'll pass it on to him.

Charmander

DigitalKaede

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO!
There are stuff that offer free domains (ex: <blah blah>.co.nr) but there are no sites that have free .com or any of those domains.

ok is there like <name>.<co>.com or something like that? at space and 1asphost is good but it keeps saying that my e-mail is invalid -_- any others like that hosting like 50 mbs?

Charmander

Boulder Trainer
no i mean example charmander/geocity.com something like that.. with no ads popup etc.. and can host at least 40 or more?

Jetx

hooray, it's Jetx!
What I'm wondering is are there any hosts that allow unlimited pages and easy HTML pages. Which I don't have to pay for, or fill out all my personal details. I'll start looking through the list for them.

Please take that off - they've become just horrid. ;.;

http://www.woltlab.de is not free, and it is on the list.
Yes, Woltlab also offers paid versions, but there are also free ones.
You need to look for Burning Board Lite (forum) or Burning Book (guestbook), they are both free.
Burning Board 2 isn't free, but also not very expensive.

Edit:
The list should be up-to-date now.
