No they wouldn't because I've seen other writers there write about Ash and some other guy bromancing it up actually those ships are popular there. My thing is that that scene wasn't meant to be a bromance scene but a reunited scene. And of course in my headcanon, they are young so that's why they are playful with each other. By the games, I can never see these two guys bromancing it up. In fact, I see Petrel as a babe magnet to be honest lol
