Frivolous and Meticulous

After searching suprisingly no one has made a thread about this:

Two new natures have been introduced: Frivolous and Meticulous.

Although this is in another post, I'll put it here also to make sure everyone knows:

Meticulous: Extreemeley careful and precise(accuracy?).
Frivolous: Unworthy of serious attention;
Inappropraitley silly

What do you think these new natures will improve? HP seems likely but because there are only two new natures they cannot cover all of the combinations. There are no other stats that the natures could improve (all other combinations have been dealt with) so the only stat left is HP. However it is odd how they would only introduce two, unless there are more to come.

It is also possible that these natures will not effect HP at all, but then what would be left? Thoughts?

HAHA I was just going to reply that too. What do those mean anyway?

Yeah my thought was HP. Perhaps Frivolous lowers HP but raises all the other stats by a little. While Meticulous increases HP at the cost of all other stats.

Or mabey they are really rare super natures like how the shinny pokemon are really hard to find.

This is just wishful thinking from me, but it you never know.

One nature could increase all stats by a set percentage (i.e. 1%, 3%, or 5%. The normal 10% would be too high in this case), while the other nature would be the opposite, decreasing all stats by the same amount.

The latter nature would be the dud of all natures that you'd want to avoid getting, while the former would be a very rare nature that's not found often.

But, this is all coming from my secret desire that there be a nature that increases all stats. I'm doubting it would actually happen.

All stats have already been covered up by all the other natures. Maybe these will be neutral. But I got 1 question: These are two new natures exclusive to D/P but we can trade pokemon from D/P to R/S/E and FR/LG where these natures were inexistant. So what will happen if we trade a Meticulous pokemon to Emerald (example)? Will it change to something else? Will it remain Meticulous? Or will we be stopped when trying to trade it?

I was just going to say "Heellloo, you're on the internet, and there's a slew of online dictionaries." But anyway, awesome news.

Well, going by those definitions (Why didn't I think of looking them up? :p), I have a new theory.

A meticulous nature would increase accuracy of attacks, due to being more precise, while a frivolous nature would increase evasiveness, due to other Pokemon not wanting to bother attacking them.

The changes would have to be slight though.

my guess is that there is more to come but from the demo. SO FAR they have only found those two. i think that they will be HP and that they will add a bunch off new natures to up and lower HP

Probably you wont be able to trade it back to the other games. And I doubt that it will change to another nature.

I'm pretty sure it won't let you trade them. They could be neutral, but that would be pointless. What would be the point of introducing more natures that are just the same as older ones? I hope they do something unexpected with them.

edit: Bayleef's idea seems like it could actually work. If they did that, I guess they'd have to add in a "ups critical hit ratio" nature as well (they should be very rare natures if this happened).

well, what happened when you traded pokemon before the natures era to it. did they have no nature or a random one???

(in response to the trade to emerald post)
Err... R/S/E aren't compatible with G/S/C so there was no trading.
