I understand about personal tastes but to say that the other departures that were done on the show after was not emotional is not true. The writers still do things like that. Just because it was they were the first doesn't mean they haven't done emotion on this show after that.

Every departure can be emotional, that's true. But i believe he meant that he considers certain ones more emotional, captivating than others.

Which depends on personal interpretation, standards on what you consider to be well written memorable story, and what not. That doesn't mean he downplays and mitigates importance of others, but simply prefers others over them.

But isn't that how all of the characters other than Ash were treated? If you are talking about Misty, then yes. Brock stayed on for years and if they wanted to do something real for him then if they cared then they would have done it already. Would you would have want Misty is Brock's place doing little to nothing on the sidelines instead of atleast having her own special series with other characters? Gary has been shwon a few times more than he should have been. So he has had great focus. But you need to realize that he changed his goal, so he and Ash won't butt heads like they used to on like how Paul and Ash did. But that's not anyone's fault. And Tracey is pretty much where he said he wanted to be. It's not like anyone is forcing him to be there if he doesnt want to be. Max is the only one that needs better treating since he hasn't been given much of anything out of everyone else.

Yes they are, which is one of main problems with this show. Instead of writers investing more in popular well accepted characters, doing build up on their stories they are constantly cycling through cast replacing them halfway unfinished with series suffering from lack of continuity, substantial development and compacted plot.

Once certain character or pokemon leaves in this show, aside from obligatory regional cameo afterwards he gets bury never to be seen again, erasing all importance and impact he left on anime. Which is bad move imo since its only contributing intermittent story, unstable cast turning viewers away.
Way i see it this character rotation always seemed to me like best of both worlds.

With such approach new companions would still be included, but for change older ones would remain relevant in some form going through new adventures growing forward(similar how other anime like "Inazuma Eleven" or "Bakugan" does). That way everyone would be pleased with characters not receiving too much exposure, while at same time being provided enough focus to do something significant with them.
This would if anything bring new angle to this show being fresh for change to follow story of already somewhat developed character going on bigger things, and see in what new exciting directions writers can take them.

Speaking of reference to Brock, he isn't credible indication through which you can base how would other characters be treated. It depends on personality, character goal, plots writers build around him ad story in what way he will be taken and handled, Otherwise Cilan and Iris which came after Brock would be treated same like Brock was, but that's anything but true getting more focus and growth.

I know you don't care about the marketing, and the commercialism also bothers me. But there's nothing we can do about it, the anime is a commercial for the games and is written as a commercial...

But that has not happened yet, the last time the two faced off was in the junior cup and he lost.

Caseydia: At this point I think it's better if we agree to disagree.
I think they treated many things bad/you don't. I think it went downhill you don't.

It's not like we will change opinion and it dosen't feel like were are getting anything out of it.

You're right but there are still things in the show that is great if you would stop looking at only a few and realize that. But I'm not going to argue anymore.

Why do you assume Im the one not realizing stuff?
So if I don't agree with your opinion Im biased and can't realize stuff you see?

In another thread I did point out a few things in Hoeen that was even better then Kanto (my favorite season) but overall I think it is much worse. You seems to have a very hard time accepting that I (or maybe everyone) don't agree with you.

I didn't even think Gio even knew JJM existed for 99% of AG-DP

He knew they existed. He just didn't know who they were. It would have been awesome to see Giovanni come in and battle Team Galactic but since we're getting Team Rocket vs Team Plasma (hopefully), I can't complain that much.

I've just started watching BW and while I like the series so far I still think it's odd that Pikachu lost to Snivy. Pikachu has years of experience ahead of Snivy and with moves like Iron Tail it should have easilly won the match. Plus I find Iris really irritating -she's the same age as Ash and yet she insists on calling him a kid. He can be forgiven for not knowing who the gym leaders are and getting places mixed up since he's not familiar with the Unova region. And as usual Iris seems to secretly have a crush on Ash.

Giovanni was technically in almost every episode of Hoenn/Sinnoh, but only in Meowth's dreams. That alone might've been why he never made an appearance.

Well so he knew there were 3 incompetent nincompoops ruining the reputation of TR in those 2 regions then..
