Fusion moves

Looks like they'll be happening in pokemon dungeon. You can have gulpin fuse two compatible moves for you. I wonder if you can trade pokes with fused moves to d/p?

If a pokemon only has space for 4 moves and you fuze some...does that mean if nothing else you've freed up a move slot once you merged some? Can more than two moves be merged?

When I read the fusion moves part, I guessed that when you fuse two regular moves (like say Bubble and water gun) you'd get a more powerful move (like surf). Either way, this game looks to be fantastic;259;

I hope not. Said moves would be way too overpowered.
Charistoise used Hydro Burn! It's super effective!

._.

Yeah, I agree with Eszett. This would totally disrupt the system. Can you imagine Sheer Cold fused with Aerial Ace? Never misses, hits everything. Kyogre would be so broken it's not even funny.

And I'd like to see some proof that we'll be having this in Dungeon. And by like, I don't mean LIKE, I mean want. Liking this idea is not a phrase I can say comfortably.

No, Alastor DMc, I think that Nintendo wouldn't go to all these great lengths just to fuse to get a move that you already could get. I think that they would have called it a move combination power up, or something like that. XD

And, yeah, if you could trade the Rescue Force Pokemon to D/P, then why not bring along their fusion moves? Also, they wouldn't make dual moves in D/P just to put them in Dungeon, and make them just be a better move, like Surf. XD

And CB, they'd certainly have limits. Like only same class moves, plus limits on that.

I think the information about fusing moves was taken from the new official mini-site... proof enough for you?

Ohnoez theres fusion in a game with totally different game mechanics to the other games and cant trade or battle...ohnoez too overpowered ¬¬

Only 150 of the Pokémon can have moves fused and its stuff like Scratch and Leer, only specific combinations can be

Well, will it make the move totally different or just alter it's strength, speed, accuracy, etc?

I'm Back? YAY!
probably just like something like this"Treeko uses Bullet seed and FOLLOWS UP WITH pound".The move doensnt really fuse, just comes one after another.I mean, they would want to save fusion moves for DP,if they ever want to.Unless its a asneak peak or something but that is just my guess.

yeah probably what XyrontheFalcon said, but i hope they will make it like if you fuse fire blast and ice ball you get fire ball.

I think it wouldn't happend that way Civic Avenger. It could fuse like flamethrower and water gun to give smokescreen.

Uhm...

The mini site, as I posted a link to earlier, only gave the example of "Leer + Scratch", so...

1) Its not combining to moves to become some other existing move in the game.

2) I'm assuming its a way to bring up some pretty wussy manuvers and make them a little more interesting if fusing isn't something all of the pokemon can do with any of their moves. I'm assuming a lot of those minor stat tweakers (like Leer, Growl, Sand-Attack, etc.) can get linked with some of the weaker damaging moves.

Wouldn't both moves have to be compatible with the pokemon the're being fused from?

From what I understood it would only be fusing the moves ALREADY KNOWN by a single Pokemon. This isn't fusing some move from another Pokemon with one of your moves but merely working 2 of your manuvers into some sort of automatic combo (attack one immediately followed by your chosen attack two all in the same turn).

You can 'fuse' 2 to 4 moves to make a combo, e.g. Leer/Tail Whip + quick attack (long range), Meditate + any attack, or even swords dance +attack, screech + attack. Mine will be Sleep Powder + Leech Seed (haven't seen both moves missed). However, pokemon seem to learn only part of the moves in normal pokemon game (at least my Bulbasaur learned Sleep Powder but no Poison Powder) And beware fusing moves will use up the PPs very fast since you use several moves at a time. When you learn new move, you can defuse the moves and delete one of them and then go to Gulpin's shop to fuse again.

So does it make a whole new move? or just combine two of them together? I can't really catch the drift.

Some of them have changing effects depending on what moves you fuse. But I think the most helpful thing about it is the fact that you can perform several attacks in a row. For example, I use the scratch/growl/ember/metal claw combo, and that dishes out around 100 dmg while the opponent can only do about 20 max each turn.
