Future Black Team

Son of a Beach
Okay, here's my first planned 5th Gen team. I don't plan on doing any breeding or Dream World catching, so egg moves and Dream World abilities are out of the question. I also know close to nothing about items, so help with that would be great.

Elegance.
Daikenki is more specially-based, take note :O
- Surf/Boiling Water
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Hidden power (Electric)

Basically, its an Empoleon without the weakness to Ground and Fighting.

You should choose whether to use Surf or Boiling Water. Surf is a very overused STAB, while Boiling Water has the benefit of a 30% burn.
Ice Beam is for hitting Grass and Dragon-types.
Grass Knot is for opposing Water/Ground types, and generally anything that's heavy.
Electric Hp is for the likes of Skarmory or Gyarados.

Attack is passable.

Emboar has the highest attack of all starter pokemon :O
- Nitro Charge
- Head Smash
- Flare Blitz/Heat Stamp/Hammer Arm
- Earthquake/Level Ground/Ankle Sweep

Here's the thing: Emboar has moves that work around its speed, and all of them help out or hinder. Nitro Charge helps out. So does Ankle Sweep and Level Ground. Level Ground will hit anything but Levitate and Ground-types, while Ankle Sweep will be helpless against Ghosts. Your choice. Head Smash is an awesome move, and pretty much the superior choice from Stone Edge. Flare Blitz is STAB, but the coverage is a bit meh. Heat Stamp would be powerful for anything lighter than you, and Hammer Arm is usable if you've accumulated enough Nitro Charges. Earthquake is another good move.

Jaroda is a defensive speed beast.
- Leech Seed/Toxic
- Coil
- Leaf Blade
- Dragon Tail

Leech Seed can force a switch, but if your opponents stay, use Toxic. Coil will help increase your attack to make you not helpless. Also, adding Defense can help and accuracy is pretty much help for Leech Seed or Toxic. Leaf Blade is STAB, and Dragon Tail will kick out anything that stays.

perversity is usually the better ability, though.

Kenhorou is an uglier but more defensive Staraptor
- Return
- pluck/Aerial Ace
- Taunt/Detect/Roost
- U-Turn

You do not know how annoyed I am at its move pool. Return and pluck are STAB, and pluck has the effect of removing berries. Aerial Ace will not miss on normal circumstances. Taunt is something good, Detect is meh, and Roost is something to make TM51 cry. U-Turn to get yourself out of bullcrap.

Special Attack isn't passable.

Warubiaru has decent speed and good attack
- Earthquake
- Claw Sharpen
- Outrage/Dragon Claw
- Stone Edge/Crunch

The only thing resisting it is Nattorei.

Special attack isn't passable.

Ononokus has the highest Attack of non-legend Dragons
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw/Outrage/Dragon Tail
- Earthquake/Level Ground
- Stone Edge

Choose your Dragon move. Basically Warubiaru with the STAB on Dragon.

Everything else is pretty much self-explanatory.

Special Attack isn't passable.

Hope it helps!

Warubiaru can learn Fire Fang via breeding, which is good enough to be used against Nattorei since it is 4x damage.
Also, Steel Wing is a better option for the third move in your Kenhorou set.

Sorry, I'm lazy to memorize their egg moves. 156 pogeymanz, man :O

Oh well, it's decent enough.

Generally, I wouldn't use most of those moves in my opinion. I'd rather just Claw Sharpen and blast Nattorei away with Earthquake and Kenhorou should just U-Turn away from something it can't kill. Either way, a lot of different scenarios for most people :O

Okay, after taking your suggestions, here's my new plan:

503.png

Daikenki
-Torrent-
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-X-Scissor
-Grass Knot

500.png

Emboar
-Blaze-
-Nitro Charge
-Head Smash
-Flare Blitz
-Hammer Arm

497.png

Jaroda
-Overgrow-
-Leaf Blade
-Coil
-Leech Seed
-Dragon Tail

521.png

Kenhourou
-Super Luck-
-Aerial Ace
-Return
-U-Turn
-Roost

553.png

Warubiaru
-Intimidate-
-Earthquake
-Crunch
-Dragon Claw
-Claw Sharpen

612.png

Ononokusu
-Mold Breaker-
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Stone Edge
-Level Ground/Earthquake

Better now? I feel like I should squeeze in an Electric attack somewhere, but I've got Water and Flying types covered already. I'm also considering replacing Kenhourou with Denchura.

Also, as I said before, I'm not using egg moves or Dream World abilities, and I'm not breeding or catching for specific types of Hidden Power.

Ononokusu can't learn Stone Edge. But Rock Slide works.

OMG EW. I feel sad :<

Didn't Rock Slide get a boost in Generation V?

@GalladeRocks

Daikenki still has the ability to be a pure Special Attacker, since I just think X-Scissor is a bit...meh.

Hidden power Electric is still an option if you want.

I dunno about Emboar anymore. Hope it works lolz.

Yay that's my Jaroda :O

As shine said, you can free up a moveslot on Kenhorou to include Steel Wing, which, is the only decent move it has against Rock-types. In most cases though, you're gonna have to have U-Turn on your set. Steel Wing is an egg move, btw. I'm not forcing you, though. Just sayin'.

The same things goes for Warubiaru and Fire Fang. It's an egg move, but hey, at least Nattorei won't wall you. Again, I'm not forcing you to breed.

Hey, you don't need an Electric-type attack. Flying-types are generally rare to find in the metagame, and Jaroda and Ononokus already resist Water. So, it's all good :O

Shinigami...CHOP!
So, uh, a few things:

1) Daikenki doesn't need to be purely special. In fact, it can be an effective physical attacker, or a great mixed Poke.

Daikenki @ Life Orb
Lonely
-Waterfall
-Ice Beam
-Megahorn
-Grass Knot

2) Personally, I wouldn't use Nitro Charge and Hammer Arm on the same set; it's a waste of Spe. Oh, and because you have so many physical Pokemon on one team, I'll suggest yet another mixed set.

Emboar @ Expert Belt
Quiet
-Flamethrower
-Wild Bolt
-Boiling Water
-Brick Break/Ankle Sweep/Hammer Arm

Last move is your choice: neutral, -Spe to enemy, or -Spe to self.

3) Just go offensive with Jaroda, as stalling is inefficient.

Jaroda @ Leftovers
Adamant
-Swords Dance
-Leaf Blade
-Return
-Dragon Tail/Aerial Ace

4) Nattorei doesn't resist Earthquake....

5) Massive Ice weakness here. Seriously. Kenhourou does nothing for you here. Denchura?

Denchura @ Wise Glasses
Timid
-Thunder
-Bug Buzz
-Energy Ball
-Charge Beam

Fin.

Emboar @ Expert Belt
-Blaze-
-Flamethrower/Nitro Charge (If not Hammer Arm)/Heat Stamp
-Hammer Arm (If not Nitro Charge)/Brick Break
-Wild Bolt
-Boiling Water/Cheer Up

Wild Bolt handles both water and flying. My Thunder punch Infenape worked wonders.
While boiling Water hits grounds Emboar can stat boost with Cheer up.

Dependig on how powerful Heat Stamp is the choice is between Blitz and Stamp. nitro Charge lacks raw power to work as a STAB.

Warubiaru is fine without a Claw Sharpen boost.

Volt Change gets you out if trouble and T-wavev spreads status.

Great team. You have no flyer which could be problematic a times. You also are developing an ice weakness but any team that uses Dragons sacrifices that for awesome pokemon. And it's not like the can't handle them thereselves.

^Denchura doesn't really need Volt Change, since in-game scouting isn't usually necessary. And T-wave is a bit odd alongside Thunder, which has a 30% chance of inducing paralysis. However, if you choose to use Thunder Wave in the last slot, I believe it'd be safe to use Electra Ball > Thunder, assuming you'll start by paralyzing your opponent.

Just edit the first post with your new settings, raters tends to look at only the first post.

Moneyy

I would not use any mixed attackers, because if you focus on one attack stat, it makes your power stronger and frees up more EVs. (I think)

GalladeRocks

Son of a Beach
Meh, I don't really care that much about EVs, although I'll probably get killed for saying that.

And now, after some more thinking, this is my newest and most thought out team plan.
