Who do you think would win in a battle of groundon and kyorge?

Kyorge is water, which defeats ground.
But groundon has so much heat he can easily evapourate water,

so who would win????

It seems that you are comparing games to anime/real life in your reasoning.

Swords Dance +STAB EQ= GG Kyogre.

STAB Surf in the Rain kills Groudon.

STAB EQ in any weather does good damage to Kyogre.

In rain, Kyogre will probably win. In sun, Groudon will probably win.

Kyogre would win because water is good against ground, but Groudon may win if it is sunny and it had Solarbeam.

Kyogre summons rain, Groudon summons sun, what would be the weather in a battle between the two?

Depends on the Speed and on the order they enter on the battle:
Groudon enters first. Drought activates. Enters Kyogre. Drizzle activates and Drought is nullified. Groudon attacks first. Uses an attack. Kyogre uses a Water attack. Goodbye Groudon/Groudon attacks first. Uses Fissure. 30% possibilities that it wins/Kyogre attacks first. Uses a Water attack. Goodbye Groudon.
Kyogre enters first. Drizzle activates. Enters Groudon. Drought activates and Drizzle is nullified. Groudon attacks first. Uses Solarbeam. Goodbye Kyogre/Kyogre attacks first. Uses a Water attack. Goodbye Groudon
So, the results are:
75% possibilities Kyogre
25% " Groudon

First things first, it's Kyogre and Groudon not kyroge and groundon. I could have accepted it as a typo, but twice in the same post. I could also have accepted it if you had only spelt them wrong, or only not capitalized the names, but both.
Anyway, I'm going to go real life for who would win instead of games. Kyogre and Groudon awake, the weather is constantly switching between torrential rain and blistering heat. Kyogre shoots a blast of water at Groudon, Groudon fires a burst of flames, the two meet and cancel each other out in a cloud of steam. The rain starts pouring more heavily and Kyogre gains the upper hand, taking the opportunity to cover Groudon in a wave of water. Groudon emerges after a few seconds as rain slows down a bit. The clouds part to reveal a bright Sun. Groudon takes this moment to fire a blast of solar energy right at Kyogre, who dives under water. The solar energy cuts through the water and strikes Kyogre hard. Kyogre becomes enraged and rises up from the depths, leaping out of the water to ram into Groudon at a high speed. Groudon staggers back as Kyogre lands back in the water. Kyogre follows up by lowering his internal body temperature and blasting a beam of ice at Groudon. Groudon is temporarily frozen, but heats himself up to turn the ice straight into a gas. Groudon is at this point suffering from heavy damage, so blasts Kyogre with an immensely powerful attack, drawing on his ancient origins. Kyogre is hit hard and drifts downwards. Groudon takes this pooprtunity to sleep and recover from his injuries, as does Kyogre. Very soon the two awake and the same kind of thing repeats over and over again until they are finally put to rest for eternity by Rayquaza.
Therefore, nobody wins, ever.

lol, Solarbeam Groudon. In the sunlight sword dance plus earthquake would KO kyogre, even though kyogre has a type advantage over Groudon so basically it depends on the pokemons speed. Then again, Groudon may need a salac berry to beat kyogre.

I never got why people call it "Groundon". *shrug*

Anyways, people. Let it go. Groudon can't win on its own. The fact that it NEEDS to have stuff Baton Passed to it says something. It would flounder if it were ever a one-on-one type of thing.

Kyogre is just too awesome. ;_;

Yeah, this is what I think. The terrain would effect the battle. But as said above, neither might come out of this fight with a victory.

Groudon.

Swords dance + STABbed EQ=gg.

Even when Drought goes into effect, Kyogre has Ice Beam. D:

Actually Ice Beam equals STAB surf in the sunlight. So it doesn't really matter which move it uses, Kyogre can win with calm mind support in the sunlight.

Neither would win. Their fighting would have awakened Rayquasa who would have sent both of them back into eternal slumber:D

on a more serious note: Kyogre would win. But maybe its just because I don't like Groudon

Groudon. And let me explain why:

Groudon uses SDance. Kyogre uses CM. Kyogre is slower, Groudon is faster(assuming you trained your Groudon right). Groudon EQs and Kyogre dies.

I suppose it also helps a little that Groudon is the best Pokémon out of all 386. Kyogre just can't win.

Groudon used Solarbeam, Kyogre fainted. Groudon is much more faster. But if has low SpecialAttack:

Groudon used Swords Dance, and then Earthquake. Kyogre is down.

Well...I would have to say Kyorge on this one.Kyorge gets STAB Surf that is super effective against Groundon. He also have the Drizzle ability which slightly raises water attacks.

Now that's my kind of thinking.
To add to my post, I'll just say that in-game it would completely depend on who was fastest and what moves were used.

Groudon is said to be the best of all Pokemon and to be honest, I think it very well may be. There are 4 ways of beating Kyogre with Groudon. I uber battle on Netbattle so I know how these work obviously.
1)Use 2 earthquakes. This method only really works if you get the Kyogre on the switch, and then it misses.
2)Baton pass attack and speed to a Groudon to 1HKO a Kyogre (or use Swords Dance or Bulk UP)
3)Use Solarbeam if it is sunny
4)Use thunder.

You may think method 4 is silly. Thunder on Groudon has 50% accuracy. BUT, when a Groudon is out in an uber battle, the opponent will switch into their Kyogre. On the turn the opponent switches, you can use Thunder. Kyogre's ability will give Thunder 100% accuracy. Thunder will take of about 60% of Kyogre's health on the switch and it has a 30% chance of paralyzing it, thus, giving the Kyogre a 25% chance of missing it's next turn and reducing it's speed stat by 50%. The Groudon has about 10% chace of 1HKOing the Kyogre with a CHThunder and if the Groudon is faster, then you will have no problem beating a switched in Kyogre with Thunder.

So, Kyogre will most likely win, but there are a few ways on beating a Kyogre with groudon and groudon is better overall.
