I dont know how a tv show can show something as bad as this and not offend:

Some show called G4 where they take the P*** outta pokemon , it aint even funny,its been going strong for 10 years and now is going to be stronger than ever with D & P for the D.S .The cheak of them.Not all card players are like that there just being "pokist" (new term).Theres def card players who are famous there must be . Also i hear this G4 is always like this.

Heh, that's pretty funny. Remember, it's main focus isn't to offend, it's to generate entertainment. At least, I was entertained. This is why it is stupid that many TV shows get the stick when the people who watch it should just take it as a joke.

G4 is actually a network, and they tend to throw jokes at various games and such, so don't take it seriously. If you have fun doing something, so long as its legal, and moral, do it and ignore what other people say. If you have fun playing the Pokemon TCG or video games, don't let anyone get you down. Besides, a lot of people who play Yu-Gi-Oh! are former Pokemon players or play Pokemon along side their Yu-Gi-Oh! games.

The only Pokemon TCG player that I know of that has a somewhat well-known name would be William Hung >>; :p

Anyway, I just say laugh at that video and move on. Nothing to really hang on to. I'm sure that show on G4 always makes fun of a game or two.

Yeh ,havnt played the card game 4 years i found the yugioh bit funny even though yugioh players are unlikly to beat pkmnplayers up.

It was all just tongue-in-cheek and actually very amusing, (made me laugh). I shouldn't take too much offense from it. They did do this hillarious thing about Tomb Raider once...

Who cares? I find G4 pokemon references funny. The fact is, many gamers hate pokemon too so they enjoy watching it made fun of while pokemon fans can get a good laugh. Only the extremely sentimental will get offended >_>.

lol, I saw this episode of Xplay a while ago, its funny, but dont feel to bad, the guy who played to pokemon geek is always getting picked on in the show (and not for pokemon, they just like to pick on that acter)

That's X-Play for you. They do this all the time. They make fun of games and sometimes make fun of gamers. They just like making fun of Pokemon. Any netwrok that shows Beast Wars and two Star Trek: TNG back to back everynight can't be that bad.

I saw G4 while I was on vacation, since my aunt has satellite TV, and I saw a couple of Pokemon-related programs. One was an on-demand program about Nintendo legends, and included just Pokemon Red/Blue and Colloseum. I was a little disappointed that practically every Mario game that ever existed (including Donkey Kong) was featured and Pokemon got only 2-3 games, but I think they did a fair job of representing Pokemon. Granted, that's as much exposure to G4 as I've had, but what I've seen doesn't seem to be anti-Pokemon in the least. Don't worry about it.

I'm impressed; 'and this is a Pokémon-ex', 'this is a bayleef', '*bashing the aquapolis cards and mentioning vague energy cards*' '*laying out the cards in the correct manner*'. Do you think an outright basher would go to such a degree? Perhaps I'm delusional, but they either play or know someone who does play, or something.

Dude. It's not the end of the world. It was a silly joke. The guy wasn't really hurt at all. You need to chill and take a joke. Sheesh.

Exactly.

I've seen every episode of X-Play and and they did the same thing to Yugioh, on more than one occasion all were pretty funny (especially with the gangsta steryotyped duelists). This isn't anything to get angry about. They poke fun at EVERYTHING. It was just pokemon's turn.

The only thing I find stupid (not just in this) is that there seems to be the common notion that pokemon is dead and gone forever. Sure, the initial hype and fad have passed, but it's still a multimillion dollar franchise.

I guess that since the hype died down, alot of people assumed it's popularity did just as much.

...Was I the only one that thought that thing sucked? It didn't make me laugh through most of it (only time I did was when the Yu-Gi-Oh! guys were there), it was pretty corny. I know it was just a joke, but even so, it wasn't funny.

Meh, I guess this is why I don't like G4...
