I want to know this. People have giviin me to mutck B.S. about this. What is with that plat thing on the top corner of a A GBColor?

Yeah, you just line them up to do Mystery Gift on R/B/Y/G/S/C

Atleast I remember using it for that.

Since when did R/B/Y have mystery gift? I don't even remember R/B being for the GBC o_o

Of course it wasn't meant to replace the link cable, or else the GBC wouldn't have had the ports for it. Heck, the wireless transmitter for the GBA didn't even replace the link cable.

Did any other games use it than GSC?

Pokemon TCG and TCG2 (Released in only Japan) both used the IR feature. It was somewhat like Mystery Gift, only you received a random card.
