It's very faint on the front sticker, it's an impression on the sticker with a number
if this were the front sticker: x would be the location of the number

My cartridges
Ruby=19
Emerald=00 e3
fire red=11

usually that's just manufacturers numbers that have no concern to anything except the assembly line

Maybe these numbers determine the odds someone will "really" find shineys? Who knows. I'll check mine when I get home from work.

Ya know, there could be some truth in that. I've encountered Shinies on Ruby (#2 on the sticker) but never in Sapphire (#11 on the sticker).

Oh yeah, I have an 11 on my Emerald .-.

11 on Sapph and 12 on LG. I have a 34 on Crystal.

It might be a regional system or release system. Not sure.

Continuing that trend, I have a 12 on my Ruby cartridge and have never come across a Shiney. :eek:

Not that the number has anything to do with it. If you think it does try carving a "2" on it. :p

Indeed! If things carry on as they are, in the near future I'll be approaching such degrees of desperation! :p

Hmmm. It's on other GBA games too, not just pokemon. For example, my harvest moon has a 22 imprinted.

That may be right! The only shiny I've ever seen (not caught) was on my Ruby, and look at the numbers.

The RNG's entirely software-based, so your 'shiny theory''s most definitely wrong.

Sapphire: Can't see a thing. It might've "flattened out" from age.. I dunno.
Fire Red: 11
Emerald: 11

They might identify manufacturing location.
