Back when Tigers used to smoke.
So I'm surprised no one has made a thread about this considering this is a GameFreak title.
Anyways, Nintendo announced a major game exclusive for the Nintendo Switch simply called "Town" developed by GameFreak. Now remember that "Town" is just a placeholder title so if it gets change, and most likely will, so will the thread's discussion featuring the game's current title.
Not much is known about "Town" but a lot of Pokemon fans are excited to see another possibly great RPG exclusive to the Nintendo switch, especially one made by GameFreak. For those who don't know, GameFreak has actually made other games outside of Pokemon and while they are quite small, in some ways mirror indie games, they make up for it thanks to their outstanding quality.
Also for Pokemon fans looking forward to Gen 8, the game "Town" gives a rough idea what the 8th gen games could potentially look like in terms of a controllable third-person camera view in what appears to be a semi-open world structure. Although I think we can all agree that Town at least gives an idea or strong hope to Pokemon fans of what the 8th gen won't look like. Specifically "Town" gives an idea that 8th gen won't look like Let's Go at least. Not only that it also gives us an rough idea how much knowledge, experience and tech GameFreak has at this point to create such an RPG specifically made for home consoles.
