I don't know about that. I remember playing a FireRed demo in Gamestop before I ever purchased a copy, and it was so amazing that I decided to get it. I think a demo would help satisfy my Pokemon craving...

It depends. I don't disagree, but there've been times where I've played a demo that showed me just enough to make the wait for the real deal that much more exciting. So depending how much the demo offers, it could serve to help build excitement.

Yes, I went with a group of friends, only played 2 minutes though. I couldn't help dancing to the music, and got strange looks from other people waiting to play

Thanks to one of the most recent images(here), I was able to translate the bars that appear in Pokemon-Amie. According to the image, Pokemon have meters for Friendship, Hunger, and Play. It looks like in order to satisfy all of these, you must play the Pokemon-Amie feature. How the hunger is satisfied is beyond me, though.
