gameshark or action replay

i recently bought a gameshark SP over Ebay, however i haven't been able to find many codes for it. whenever i google for them it always comes up with action replay ones. i did some research and found that te replay did have better codes, but it lacked the function of being able to backup game saves. so i was wondering, what do you people think, should i buy an action replay for the better codes and keep my gameshark, not buy the replay, or buy the replay and burn (or sell) the gameshark??
