Hi, and welcome to my Fakemon thread, now I know I may not be a good artist, and even if I am, a sprouting one, but I would really like to share my sketches with you. (coloured versions may come soon) Also, sorry for my handwriting in the flavour text, it may not be clear enough and might be a small bit messy. Also, sorry for the size, my current editing programme could not make my pics any smaller. Anyway, time to stop stalling you, here is my work:

Cacpatch-the sibling cactus pokemon
extra info: Beneath the soil lie roots which connect to bone and muscle tissue, giving Cacpatch bone structure in it's hands and feet.

Please give constructive critisism, and suggestions on how to improve are welcome. I will also take suggestions on fakemon or evolutions/pre-evolutions to my fakemon and real pokemon, but it is not guarrented that I will do them.

Also please, if you read this thread, please reply!

I will try to fit in at least 2 or 3 fakemon every two or 3 days.

hmm...not good at all... you're probably like me, not trying to make the best pieces of art, just showing ideas for fakemon.. if that's the case, then there's no way these are good.. i don't mean to be rude, but you might want to make them actually look like they could be real pokemon.. i dunno, i'm not good at criticism... i tried..

Anyway, thanks for the constructive critisism. I am trying to improve.

Sorry for double-posting, but due to the lack of replies, I've decided to post some more fakemon pics, which I hope are improved, as I did them all after SandslashYo!'s helpful critisism... Oh, and once again, sorry for the size.

Well, I'll be tackling these four at a time...I guess.

Greenflap doesn't look like it's fully-evolved. That's the main thing I find wrong with it. Otherwise, I think it can be given the Ken Sugimori tweak to make it look like an actual Pokémon. It reminds me of Winged Kuriboh from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

Rover puzzles me. How do the different types work? I think you also forgot to mention it's 50% female in the drawing itself.

Clouclustr is a very awkward name...and a pretty tough one to pronounce too. It also looks too similar to Stormee. I think your intentions are in the right place though; I'd really like to see an Electric/Flying that isn't Zapdos. I had more of a Thor/Lakitu thing in mind though.

Cacpatch seems redundant, since Cacnea and Cacturne are already around. It's also really weird that it's already potted. I take it its Speed isn't too remarkable.

And here are my answers:

Greenflap: I am planning to evolve Greenflap, but a suitable design is not in mind, until then, I'm just editing it.

Rover: Rover is actually meant to be a all male pokemon, a female earth/pooch is already in mind, I finished her yesterday, I'll post it soon. The three types are there because the earth has 3 elements, water, grass, and ground, plus a few others. Anyway, I knew I couldn't make it triple typed, so each one you encounter has one of the random types there.

Cloucluster: Stormec is supposed to look like a grey Clouclustr, with lightning shocks, with a personality change. I don't know though, changing its appearence has always dwelled on me though.

Cacpatch: As you stated, Cacnea and Cacturne are very popular, and so instead of trying to replace them with Cacpatch, i would just try to add cacpatch to the chain (Not the evolution chain). And yes, there speed isn't their strongest point.

Well, the main reason I chose not to comment on the next ones was because it was close to 4 AM. I needed some sleep. Regarding Rover, you wrote down "Male: 50%," so I thought that the Female proportion would also be 50%. I see that the types are randomly chosen as you encounter them though...Nintendo hasn't done that before, which is nice.

Clouclustr and Stormec look nearly identical when you drew them. They were even drawn at about the same size, suggesting that they are around the same size. (I assume Stormec is bigger.) Perhaps Stormee can be one huge cloud with many faces within it, like a cumulonimbus cloud. That way, it'll look like Clouclustr is somewhere in between Cloudry and Stormec: Joining together, but not compeltely merged yet.

Surely you can come up with a better name than Metalseed! A Grass/Steel would be pretty intriguing, but like with Greenflap, it looks too simple. Also, leaves make for awkward looking fingers, especially when small. No doubt Pokémon will eventually come across a Grass/Steel themed on a hard-to-open seed.

I assume Psycheep is related to Metalseed somehow. They look similar, and they have similar behavior. The eye looks really awkward, and the drawing looks messy. Can you draw with long strokes instead of tiny strokes? They'd lok much better that way.

After Lunatone and Solrock, I would assume a star or a comet is the next step. Sixstar looks wayyy too much like an Invincibility Star from Mario Bros. though.

Rover: Once again, thanks for commenting.

Writing 50% male 50% female was a mistake, sorry. :D

Stormec: Your idea on stormec intrigues me! It shall be done. Expect it in around half an hour from now.

Steelerp: Metalseed wasn't the name, it's just a quick title I did. I think I said somewhere that Its real name is Steelerp, which actually, is a preety bad name, too. I invented it, and Psycheep when I tried to make better eyes, but these ones look preety much the same anyway. Metalseed and Psycheep evolve, but they'll be shown another time.

Psycheep: Psycheep is basicly a feminised version of Steelerp with a type change. They usually do hang around Steelerp, but their hunting methods are different. (check picture's pokedex info) And infact, I'll try to do long strokes.

Sixstar: I don't play Mario, so I had no idea six star looked like an invinci- whatever star from it. And a comet pokemon is a good Idea, thankyou! :)

Now it's kinda embarresing to do a TRIPLE post now, and I hope my thread doesn't get locked, nor dies.

As I promised, here are the 4 new fakemon. PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU READ, it doesn't take up much time, I would really appreciate comments, either being compliments or critisism, I'll take any!

Ditcry exclusively learns tackle. If you evolve a Ditcry that doesn't know tackle, Ditto will not be able to learn it. Ditcry is also the only way to pass on a GENDER to a ditto.

Yikes! The first thing I want to say is slow down! Your ideas will look much better if you give them plenty of time. Remember my doodle? I spent around an hour and a half at it, and her design was refined from an earlier doodle.

I will comment on the new Stormec though: You don't have to credit me. It was 100% your design. Also, I don't like the idea of having such a rare type as Electric/Flying suddenly become Electric/Dark. (As long as it has Levitate, it'll be okay though.)

Okay, sorry for the late update, and extra sorry for the double post. Now, I'm more worried about getting suspended, or banned than getting the thread closed. :( But I still want to show you my fakemon, so I will.

Extra info: At night, these pokemon light up. They surf for 16 hours a day in order to keep their temperature safe and cold.

Extra info: Some say this pokemon has a phsycal resemblance to Dunsparce. In the olden days, people used to believe twincoon evolved into that very pokemon, yet some say that couldn't be a historical fact, as Twincoon are missing some vital features of a Dunsparce.
