WIPs, hehe. Just putting them here so it will be easier to edit. XD
Name: Lovina Violenza (hides behind the surname "Vanaria")
Gender: Female
Age: 23 (November 21)
Benefactor Deity: Ares
Artifact: Spear of War - A long weapon with a black iron shaft, and a sharp, pointed ornate head with three tips, one longer than the other two and jet black, and the shorter tips being blood-red.
Powers:
Superhuman Physiology (emphasis on strength and speed, of course)
Super-enhanced Fighting Skills
Weapons Expertise: Lovina has the ability to quickly know how to effectively use a particular weapon, at a rate much faster than normal. This allows her to master weapons very swiftly and make her more effective in fighting and battle.
Telumkinesis: Lovina can exert control over weapons, though only over weapons in the immediate battle, and only a certain number of weapons at a time at her current power level. With this, she has the ability to disarm opponents, curse weapons and turn them into other objects, as well as turn others' weapons against them to shift the battle to her favor.
Appearance: Lovina is a tall and imposing young woman, standing at 6'0" in height with a leanly-muscled build and a light complexion. Her crimson hair is thick and long, falling just past her waist in length, and is usually carelessly tied in a loose side-ponytail, not being one to take time styling it neatly and properly. Her eyes are an icy violet in color (inherited from her mother), rather unusual but not unheard of, and framed with thick, long lashes coated in black mascara, one of the few types of make-up that she would allow herself to wear. Her face is rather angular, with defined features and a pointed nose, and slightly yellowed teeth from drinking and smoking. Her body is lean, long-legged and slim and her breasts are the other most prominent parts of her aside from her eyes, being very large and ample, and she doesn't bother hiding this fact either. Encircling her upper left arm, upper right thigh and left ankle are black tattoos that resemble stitches. Her ears have three piercings each, decorated with black, skull-shaped earrings. Lovina's hands are rough and far from pretty partially from handling firearms and partially because of her roughness around the kitchen while attempting to learn how to cook. A long gash runs down her left palm from a chopping accident, while several healed burn scars dot her fingers.
Lovina, unlike her younger brother, does not enjoy colorful or conventionally fashionable clothing. She dresses in an offbeat, dark way that shows her rough and brash nature. Black is her favorite color, and she dislikes pink as well as light colors a lot. Her usual outfit consists of a tight, off-the-shoulder red-and-black graffiti top torn at the edges of the sleeves, at the neckline to emphasize on her assets and at the bottom as well to a length just below her ribcage. Over this, she wears a black zip-up leather vest with a silver skull-shaped stud on each side of its wide collar. Her bottoms are black mini shorts, and on her hips is a thick black leather belt with a silver skull buckle and silver studs decorating its length. Four silver chains dangle from this belt, two of them having a hanging cross, one having a hanging skull, and one being plain. On her feet are heavy black combat boots that lace up to the knee. Black leather fingerless gloves cover her hands and a silver skull on a simple chain hangs from her neck.
Personality: Though Lovina is beautiful, she's hardly a charming or feminine young woman. Quite the opposite actually. She is loud, foul-mouthed, boyish, rude and bad-tempered, being a person who swears often, easily gets ticked off and would not hesitate to hurt anyone verbally or even physically (she's very strong after all) when she feels like it. She isn't a weak puncher, being very far from it. When it comes to voicing her opinions, she's not exactly the most tactful person, often speaking her mind and never hesitating to shoot down anyone for reasons that can range anywhere from her thinking their plans are stupid or that she plain hates them. She doesn't even fear being caught by authority figures when confronting anyone violently, despite the consequences. This attitude of hers tends to alienate her from many of her peers. While she is not a loner by nature and would really want friends, despite denying this to herself a lot, not a lot of people understand her abrasiveness and think that she has problems instead of trying to reach out and understand her. Lovina is one who can also never admit when she is crushing on or is in love with someone, and for good reason. Yes, the girl is capable of such things, but the fact that she was once in love with someone and that the relationship ended in a disaster and with her being damaged goods, she is reluctant to trust anyone or believe in love. She's still extremely bitter about this, and allows it to take over her, hardening her in the process and making it difficult for her to listen. Despite her outwards nature, she is not heartless however, having a gentler side and knowing how to care more than one would expect, as seen in the way she dotes on her brother Felice. She however covers up her nicer side in public with a lot of made-up excuses and sometimes, violence so that nobody would think that she "softened up".
Lovina's anger and bitterness also makes her dislike certain types of people, mainly the lovesick type of girls who according to her, get everything just by giving their "charming smiles" and "talk all their problems away" and have everything easy in general. Lovina on the other hand hates letting anyone know about her problems, preferring to face them head-on and on her own. A courageous but stubborn individual, she has no qualms facing danger, even to the point of being daring in the face of it. She hardly thinks before she does things either, thinking that only pussies hesitate and that a future Boss should be strong like herself, not an indecisive, ever-changing idiot who keeps hesitating to make a move. It takes pretty long for her to trust someone and open up, being very untrusting and hesitant to give in, but when she does, then it would be easier to see her better qualities. Even when she trusts someone though, don't expect her to admit it when she likes somebody. It's more difficult to reach out to her compared to most people, but as long as one is persistent, it's very possible, as she secretly likes it when someone doesn't care whether she's problematic or not. With people she can trust, she opens herself up more and proves to be compassionate, caring and protective even to a fault. Expect her however to tell them to shut up and keep quiet about it, and treat them like she does with everyone when in public, though would noticeably be less harsh. It is possible though...why the hell does she have a small circle of friends if she didn't have a more open side? She also has a soft spot for those who are alienated and isolated by others, or those who are in a similar situation as herself, being noticeably less difficult around them, as she knows how it feels to be rejected, and finds it kind of easier to relate with them...misery loves company after all. She is capable of laughing and smiling just like anyone else, but it just takes time.
Lovina is the more intelligent of the two siblings and actually enjoys reading more than Felice does, being a fan of mostly horror novels. She also is much better at handling firearms than her brother, having excellent aim, which explains her love for shooting beer bottles, full or empty, with her small circle of friends. She however, lacks Felice's charm and creative prowess, being hopeless at painting and terribly blunt. Lovina is a fast runner and is also very fast on the road. This however means that she gets into more auto accidents than Felice, and being one to be very susceptible to road rage because of her temper and because of this, opts to ride a motorcycle, which she feels gives her a lot more freedom without having to answer to smashed hoods. Some of her other interests include snowboarding, fighting, gambling and betting, and of course, playing pool. She is not one who cares for formalities or etiquette either, and is very casual, rough and brash in her approach to things. She also is not the type who follows rules nor likes restrictions, preferring to break them and follow her instincts.
Lovina is a smoker, likes to drink and holds her alcohol very well, being able to tolerate more glasses than the average without getting drunk. When she gets drunk however, she goes from angry to extremely happy and even goofy, telling a lot of jokes, even profane ones and laughing and smiling a little too much for anyone's comfort. She also loosens up a lot when under influence, which makes a drunk Lovina rather fun to be around, basically being a lot like Felice. Also, while she is a talented chef and could cook with just about anything, she absolutely hates eating cheese and cheese-flavored products. Yes, even the cheese on top of pizza and pasta. She would much rather eat a plain pizza base or one spread with tomato sauce and toppings over one with cheese, as she seems to find the ingredient smelly and disgusting. She however, has a strange weakness for gelato.
History: Alessandro Luigi Violenza was not an ordinary Italian man. Rather, his job was both too important and too dangerous for him to be caught, being the Don of the Mafia. This led him to use the name "Luigi Violenza" among his fellow Mafiosi and assume the persona "Alessandro Vanaria" in public, using his talent for the arts and becoming a painter to the public eye, complete with a blond wig to hide his distinctive red hair. Alessandro however, only took over as Don when Lovina was already nine, succeeding his father. Before this, he was a wild soul, enjoying romance and art just as much as his future job, romancing many. He even managed to melt the heart of the beautiful and cold Tamara Nikolaevna Petrovskaya, a daughter of a former Russian organized crime boss, who settled in Italy. Soon, they married and Lovina was born a year after. To protect his daughter, his own surname being dangerous and the surname "Petrovskaya" still having a possible link to organized crime, Alessandro had false papers written for her with the Vanaria surname to make sure the public never knew that the future Don "Luigi Violenza" had a child. Lovina grew up pretty normal, though wealthy and privileged, going to school and making friends. Contrary to what many might think, young Lovina was never a bad seed, though she had a less-than-feminine personality that carried on through her teen years and early adulthood. Loud and rambunctious? Yes. Mischievous, rough and a troublemaker? Yes. Evil? No. She might have gotten in trouble with her teachers more often than not, and had more complaints directed towards her about her behavior compared to the average girl, but she was also gregarious and outgoing, warmed up to people easily and was generally happy. Though Alessandro was often busy with both his art and his Mafia matters, he doted on Lovina while at first trying to help his fiorelli act a little less loud and rough. Tamara disagreed however, being of the view that a future boss should be strong, not tender, and that Lovina was alright the way she was. Tamara won, and Alessandro stopped, knowing that his wife was right, and a pliable leader was no leader. Alessandro no longer tried to dress Lovina up in frilly dresses, nor did he try to restrain her free spirit. Lovina grew up active and thrill-seeking, developing a love for snowboarding after a trip with her parents to the Alps. Lovina however, clearly had no talent for the arts, despite how much Alessandro tried to teach her. All her works were not exactly pretty or striking, and Alessandro grew worried for his daughter and her future safety.
When Lovina was eight, Tamara became pregnant for the second time. This excited Lovina, and she hoped that it was going to turn out a boy. However, complications late in Tamara's pregnancy led to both the boy's and her own death. Naturally, devastated both Alessandro and Lovina, who was looking forward to her new brother and already missed her mother. Alessandro managed to pick up the pieces and helped Lovina cope with the loss, despite his own problems. There were talks that his new right-hand didn't exactly like him, and not wanting to deal with betrayal, had him shot. Partially because of this fear, and partially because nine-year-old Lovina still wanted a brother, he decided to adopt a child. Felice, two years younger than Lovina, then became part of the family and in Alessandro's mind, also Lovina's future right-hand, his sweet, romantic and artistic nature perfectly complementing Lovina's aggressiveness. Unlike her, Felice actually had some artistic talent, and picked up from their father quickly, while Lovina found herself to be a natural chef, despite her being so rough, even in the kitchen. Lovina doted upon her younger brother, even though she hated showing it in public due to his tendency to hug a lot, among his antics in getting close to people. Lovina, adamant though she was, actually managed to fall in love once, and it also became her biggest regret.
Lovina was a seventeen-year-old junior when she first met the tall, blonde and handsome charmer Francois Bellaire, who had taken an interest in her after a few months. Not Nicoletta with her golden hair and innocent demeanor, not Beatrice with her elegant clothes, far easier and more charming choices in Lovina's mind, but it was her whom Francois chose. When they were seniors, they started dating. Felice, finally glad that his sister was in a relationship, decided to play matchmaker to push Lovina towards Francois. Lovina protested initially, initially saying that she could handle herself and that she never was intending to kiss him or anything but deep inside, she appreciated her brother's help, and the relationship became romantic before winter break. Lovina was happy and in love with Francois, so much that she put off the training she was supposed to begin as future Boss, while attending university for a year. The next year however, there were no excuses and she had to start, as she was already twenty years old. Balancing an accelerated university plan and intensive training proved to already be difficult, and she spent less time with Francois as a result, though she still tried to meet him whenever she could while keeping the secret she held away from him, knowing that it was for the best. Over time, she learned how to handle firearms, fight effectively hand-to-hand, as well as learned about the inside workings of the Mafia as well as how to handle them, thanks to her father. She however, also longed to see Francois again. She graduated after three years in university, and knowing that she now had more time, tried to meet Francois once again. Strangely however, he sounded distant whenever he answered her calls, and no longer seemed to have the time to meet up with her. She wanted to find out what was up and one night, decided to drop by his place. She arrived only to find him with another woman, and in his room for that matter. Something in her snapped, but she did not cry. Instead, she raised the pistol she learned how to fire and shot the couple dead, before escaping without any regret for her actions. That was it, she was not going to allow herself to be "weak" and "romantic" just like that any longer, considering what those things did to her. She relocated to America soon after, along with Felice and a number of people Alessandro had handpicked to be her companions and her future "inner circle", intending to stay there for at least a few years.
Lovina currently runs her own Italian, Mafia-themed restaurant in Boston as her cover-up job. Though she was at first hostile towards her companions, she gradually opened up to them and is now comfortable, friendly and warm, if still rough and rude, in their company, no longer acquaintances but friends. She however, holds a degree of disapproval towards Felice's crushing on their resident redheaded killjoy, Ludovico Ferri, as well as the relationship she knew would be inevitable. Lovina knew that, broken relationship with Francois aside, her position in life was good: she was strong and could defend herself more than effectively, got her revenge on the person she thought had tried to break her, she wasn't alone, had her own business, and was about to come into a lot of power. However, she couldn't shake off the feeling that there were still things she wasn't certain about, and she didn't know whether it was good or bad that she didn't know.
A dream with a young, muscular and battle-scarred but handsome man who claimed to be the god Ares helped Lovina realize that whatever it was coming for her, she knew that she could handle it, just like everything else in the past. Upon confiding with Felice about the dream though, she found out that he had the same dream, albeit with a different person, and became the victim of her brother's teasing about it being a result of her frequent mood swings.
Name: Felice Violenza (hides behind the surname "Vanaria")
Gender: Male
Age: 20 (August 5)
Benefactor Deity: Apollo
Artifact: Golden Laurels - A laurel crown with sharp leaves made of pure gold, polished to mimic the sun's radiance.
Powers:
Superhuman Physiology
Photokinesis - Felice has the ability to manipulate and create light, from using it for practical purposes such as illuminating dark places, to attacking with it in the form of beams, balls and arrows at his current level.
Prophecy - Whenever Felice paints or sketches, he sometimes gets a vision of something that will come to pass in the immediate or near future, which then temporarily makes him lose his awareness and paint or draw a picture of the prophecy. He is not exactly conscious of what he is doing until the artwork is finished. Higher power levels allow for him to get visions further into the future.
Disease Manipulation - Felice might seem sweet, but he is in fact manipulative and clever, fitting such a power rather than healing. This ability allows him to inflict diseases on his targets via clouds of miasma. This has the ability to hit many targets, but Felice at this point could not control what diseases result from them. The effects could vary, from a simple headache or a common cold, to rarely, diseases such as the plague or malaria.
Appearance: Felice is tall, standing at 6'3" in height and is light-skinned. His hair is straight and golden-blonde, cut to his neck in length and having a particularly wayward curl which he leaves that way, claiming that it adds character to his look. His wide, expressive eyes are a warm garnet color, which often convey and project his friendly, happy nature. His face also has rather soft features, with gently-curving eyebrows, a straight nose, a slightly rounded, oval face and a mouth that is often in a smile. Though Felice is slender and doesn't engage in physical endeavors the way Lovina does, his slim build and body belies his leanness, and a natural strength that makes him a fearsome opponent...or even hugger. Unlike his sister, he doesn't like tattoos, thinking they ruin his skin. He however, has pierced ears.
Felice loves fashion, especially expensive designer clothing or things he made himself. Though he doesn't go as far as to put on actual women's clothing, he appreciates unique designs and is not averse to taking elements from women's fashion and incorporating them into his already fancy wardrobe. His usual outfit consists of a button-up shirt that is black and white plaid on one side, and just white on the other side. Both sleeves are white however, and are rolled up to his elbows. The shirt hugs his body rather snugly and is paired with a fancy, sky blue silk scarf. Over this, he wears a short, black sleeveless vest, one of his own creations, with two rows of two buttons closing it. His pants are tight-fitting and black, with a single, detachable chain hanging from one of the belt loops. The lower legs of the pants have sky-blue, detail that Felice hand-painted by himself for a personalized touch. On his feet are pointed, black cowboy-style ankle boots with black-threaded details. He wears a black, buckled newsboy hat on his head, and decorating his ears are simple, silver stud earrings. His wardrobe is diverse, but however, there are just some things he would refuse to put on, such as too many spikes, biker leathers, athletic shoes, and of course, dresses.
Personality: Felice is a cheerful and optimistic young man who, unlike his older sister, keeps a smile on his face and never lets angry thoughts get the better of him. He enjoys laughing and cracking jokes, even in inappropriate situations. He is a very friendly and upbeat person, and gets very comfortable around different people very quickly. Sometimes even too quickly, in fact. Anyone who knows the Violenza/"Vanaria" siblings would attest that Felice is definitely the friendlier, funnier, more open, and more affectionate one. The way he likes expressing his affection? Well, he has many of them, flirting included. His favorite way though? Hugging. Bear hugging to be exact. Felice is not one who has any concept about taboos regarding touching or personal space, and it really does show. This boy is also seemingly unaware of his own inherent strength whenever he hugs. He expresses affection and means well, but his hugs are suffocating, very painful and to some, even murderous. Truth be told, he is only partially oblivious about this, and that is to those whom he really likes. To whom he doesn't like however (of course there are some people he dislikes, he's only human), he uses this to his own advantage while still playing the role of the happy teenager, and it hardly fails to, at the very least, hurt and traumatize his victims.
Felice evidently is very much a romantic, to the point that he avidly pairs up people for his own pleasure, whether with others or with himself. If he thinks you look cute with a particular someone, he wouldn't hesitate to push you towards that person. Unfortunately for Lovina, she is his primary victim, being his older sister and all. As a result, she suffers being constantly paired up with various people, mostly their own assassin/head chef, Vincenzo Farfalle. Felice is also one to develop crushes very easily, and has no qualms about expressing them, even in public. Also a very charming individual, he often knows how exactly to be around people. Often, this allows him to get his way in many situations. Because of this, Felice is also manipulative by nature, knowing how exactly to get his way, or at least turn difficult situations in his favor by simply charming the obstacles. He knows that being nice is sometimes a lot more effective than using force, and uses his flirting and charisma to get his way whenever he needs to. Of course, he does resort to force on seemingly difficult targets, but a Felice using force is definitely a lot more difficult to handle and escape alive from than a charming Felice.
Felice's talents lie in the arts, being the creative and imaginative sort. He is an excellent painter and sculptor like his adoptive father, easily slipping into the artist cover-up job. He also has an interest in fashion and design, sometimes even making his own clothes and even making his older sister his mannequin, much to the latter's annoyance. He knows colors, design elements and themes very well, and it shows. He isn't a bad chef either, though he doesn't find standing next to stoves for prolonged periods of time comfortable. While he isn't exactly into physical endeavors, as seen in his slender figure, his natural strength and lethal hugs do make up for that fact. He may drive fast by most standards, but knows how to keep his temper in check and not to get in trouble a lot...unless he feels like speeding up even more. When he does, he knows exactly how to charm and manipulate his way out of trouble, so it's rare to see him in trouble, unless of course he does something really, really bad. He dislikes strict authority, and often tries to find and exploit loopholes in just about everything in order to get his way if he couldn't talk himself out of it.
Felice loves fine drinks, and has a good stomach for alcohol. Whenever he gets drunk however, his personality does a complete 180 and he becomes an angry, violent drunk. In this state, he curses, hits people, starts fights and sometimes even needs restraining. Essentially, he somehow assumes Lovina's personality under the influence of such drinks.
History: Felice was never Don Violenza's natural-born son. Rather, he was orphaned at the age of two and doesn't exactly remember who his parents were. For five years, he lived in an orphanage among many different children. He was rather popular, being the tallest among them without being a bully, and got along with both girls and boys equally well. When he was seven however, a well-dressed man came to adopt him. Alessandro Vanaria, he called himself, was supposedly an artist and chose him among the others. While he knew he was going to miss his friends, he was also looking forward to finally having a father. Alessandro took him home as his son and introduced him to his new big sister, Lovina. It was then that Alessandro revealed that he was not as he seemed, not entirely a painter but actually the next Mafia Don, not Vanaria but Violenza. Felice was confused at first, as well as fearful of them. Was his new father going to kill him? Alessandro was patient and kindhearted however, and Lovina was a doting older sister despite her love for rough play. His fears eased up and he eventually accepted them, even growing very close to them. Alessandro loved him like he would love a birth son, and allowed the young boy to discover his creativity and talent in art.
Felice had a natural talent in the arts, something that relieved Alessandro. The future cover-up of Felice as "Felice Vanaria" the artist was going to come naturally after all. Even when he entered his new school, three year levels below Lovina, he was almost immediately popular among both males and females due to his warm, friendly and lighthearted disposition. Bullies were inevitable however, despite his friendliness to almost everyone, their reasons ranging from Felice's preference for drawing and art rather than sports, to his build, and even because of the fact that he was popular among girls. Felice was tolerant at first until an incident when he was nine. A classmate of his confronted him in the playground while he was drawing one of his best friends, who happened to be male. The boy took Felice's sketchpad, looked at it and threw it down before grabbing Felice while yelling insults at him. Felice only snapped when the boy hit him. He grabbed the bully by the neck with his arms and squeezed tightly, showing an unexpected display of strength for someone so tall and lanky. This had the surprising effect of making the bully let go of him and start pleading and crying until Felice indeed let go. From then on, the boy never bothered him again and Felice was left to be. Lovina, after learning about this incident, often went over to Felice's classroom in order to taunt the boy, as well as brag about her own brother being "cute and badass" to him, rubbing it in the boy's face. Felice still retained his charm and friendliness even as he went on to high school. It was then that he realized that he was attracted to males rather than females and started openly dating. While he still had people disliking him for one reason or another, it was a minor issue for him, as there were no longer any physical assaults.
It was at this time that Lovina started dating Francois, her first-ever boyfriend. Felice, being the romantic he was and at that time was seeking out his own boyfriend, actively gave Lovina advice on how to handle Francois, telling her to soften up a bit, while joking around that Francois was going to be his if ever the guy turned out to be gay. Lovina refused to agree with him, however, being her usual stubborn self. It turned out well after some time, and Felice focused himself on finding his own boyfriend. Despite his nature, it was difficult for him to find a serious one, as high school was not exactly the easiest place to find a same-sex partner. He finally managed to start dating when he graduated from high school, finding himself someone who was earnest and serious, and spent a whole month in the summer in his new relationship. Felice was happy, yet that happiness was unfortunately for him, fleeting. When Alessandro found out that Lovina had murdered Francois, relocation was imminent, and Felice was forced to end the relationship before leaving for America. He broke it off sadly without giving a concrete explanation, devastated that it had to happen, but trying to look on the bright side of not having the relationship turn fully romantic yet.
Felice now helps Lovina run her Mafia-themed restaurant as a cover-up job, in addition to taking a fine arts course at an art university. While he at first missed Italy, he quickly got over his sadness and now has been showing signs of liking one of the members of their handpicked "inner circle", the serious, troubled, ex-criminal-turned-bodyguard redheaded killjoy, Ludovico Ferri. Felice constantly stays with him and flirts with him, despite Ludovico seemingly lacking the sense of fun the others like Vincenzo and Matteo have. Lovina does not get what her brother sees in him and thus, shows contempt for the relationship. Ludovico, however, has shown signs of softening up a bit. Felice remains ever-optimistic about the future, enjoying life, and trying to maintain a sense of normalcy as the day he begins to learn the craft of the right-hand draws near. While looking forward to it, there was still a small part of him that doubted himself and questioned "Could I really do it? Handle it well?".
Just recently, Felice had a dream where in a radiant man, bright as the sun, came up to him. Introducing himself as Apollo, the man told Felice that he saw something special in the boy, then named Felice his Champion. When Felice woke up and told his sister, Lovina admitted that she also had the same dream, though with someone else appearing to her. Hugging him tightly despite his teasing, she warned him not to say a word to any of their other companions, and that she was proud of him.
