If I put my Leaf Green in my GBA and my emerald in my DS could i somehow get them to connect to trade.

you know the fact the DS has a GBA port and a DS port so it could be done using them??

No, you must use two GBA/SPs and a game link cord or a wireless adapter.

When D/P come out, you will be able to trade between the new games and the 3rd gen games by putting them into your DS at the same time.

However, the DS can NOT trade, with a GBA or a DS, using two 3rd generation games (R/S/E/FR/LG).
