Well, if you want to use your Emerald team in Mt.Battle that badly, then you'll have to beat XD to unlock the trade option in the Story mode, then trade your entire Team to the Story mode, because you can't access Mt.Battle via VS.Mode because you cannot earn Pokecoupons in VS.Mode, because in VS.Mode, you can only link battle w/ either an XD team vs. a GBA team or GBA team vs. GBA team if you're using the Game Boy Advance as a controller, and nothing more. But knowing that by trading pokemon to XD, if you have a friendship move like Return/Frustration on one or more of your pokemon, then the Tameness value will lower Return and/or Frustration's attack power, you can also use colosseum instead to register your team using colosseum if you want to see how it fares in Mt.Battle THAT bad, but can only do one of the options I told you, since you can't load two discs at the same time if you don't have two gamecubes, but two gamecubes cost more money, and the 2nd gamecube might be considered a waste, unless you like twice the fun... But overall, it's your choice...
