Are gamecube memory cards limited to certain regions or can they play on both UK GC's and US GC's. I have a UK GC and I am interested in ourchasing a US GC memory card. Will I be able to use the US memory card on my UK console? If not then is there anyway to get around this?

Hrm... I recall once having a problem loading an American game on an Australian GameCube (using a freeloader) and the game not recognising existing information on the Australian memory card (saved by an Australian version of the same game).

This was likely an issue with the game itself, not the hardware, but maybe some more investigation will be wise.

Memory cards and controllers are completely region free.

I have a PAL GC and a NTSC GC, and I can swap Memory Cards and controllers between them with no problems. The only issue you may have is trying to load a PAL save with a NTSC game or vice versa.

You can also have a NTSC and PAL save on the same memory card. I should know. I have PSO characters on every memory card. :D
